Ultimately, it became home to P.W. Dillon, President of Northwestern Steel and Wire. The home’s grandeur is a remarkable sight, as his wife, Crete, was an avid traveler, and collector of eclectic pieces and period furniture. Unique from most historic home museums, the Dillon Home retains all of the original furnishings and belongings, as the estate was conveyed to the Sterling Park District after P.W.’s passing in 1980. A tour through the Dillon Home is a step back in time, where all the wonderful stories of this family come back to life. WINTER 2019/2020 ACTIVITY GUIDE 3

PERSONAL TRAINING PERSONAL TRAINING & CPR Personal training is available at Westwood with Ryan Jandrey, our certified personal trainer. Get to know Ryan, and learn about how personal training might benefit you: About Ryan: Born and raised in Dixon and living in Polo for the past 5 years, I’ve never strayed too far from the area. I began training clients at Westwood in October of 2017. I am certified as a personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and also hold an SFG level 1 kettlebell certification through the StrongFirst organization. I have experience with everything from powerlifting to boxing. Ryan’s Training Philosophy: My training style has evolved in the two years I have been with Westwood. As I study different methodologies and techniques, I employ them into my own training to fine tune them and then use them with my clients to see what sticks. I have the benefit of training at an amazing facility with all of the equipment I could ever ask for, so there really is no limit to the routines and programs we can tailor for you. What can you gain from personal training? I’ve worked with clients of all ages and they have all taken something away from our sessions. Whether you’re an athlete looking to improve your game, a newcomer who feels unsure of where to start, or even someone who just wants to regain lost mobility, you have something to gain from working with a trainer.
