                      During a wildfire emergency, the Township may, as required:
Municipal Resources

                      Activate an Emergency Operation Centre

                      Declare a State of Local Emergency (SOLE)

                      Apply through Emergency Management BC (EMBC) for a Provincial Emergency Program (PEP)
                      number

                      Request funding or resources from the Province

                      Issue Evacuation Alerts and Evacuation Orders in consultation with and on the best professional
                      advice of BC Wildfire

                      Communicate with Provincial resources, Local resources, Media, the Public

                      Protect Municipal assets

4. Community Meetings/Round Tables
    •   Township Council meets often
        with our residents, businesses,
        developers and during an
        emergency is no different
    •   During the White Rock Lake Fire
        the Township hosted a Farming
        Round Table to work through
        agricultural challenges facing our
        community.
    •   Continued community meetings
        and round tables focusing on
        preparation have been hosted

   • During an emergency event when the Township has activated an EOC, you can
     also:

       • Call the EOC at 250-306-7422

*Calling the EOC is not a replacement for 911. In the event of threat to
 life or imminent emergency, always call 911.
