POSSIBILITY
Summer arrives with sun-filled days and warm evenings
that offer free time to step outside our daily routines and
explore new projects.
These explorations are unique for each person; from the
homeowner pursuing a backyard landscaping plan, to the
start-up launching their business or the dedicated summer
research student, we all require guidance and access to
information on our journey to expand our lives.
Opening up a world of possibility is one of the Library’s
primary goals. Starting June 1, we are offering
memberships to a wider audience to provide access to essential materials and services. We invite non-residents
who work or study within the City of Barrie to explore the advantages of being a Library member.
Your free library card will provide access to books, online courses, and our Digital Library - all the tools
required to activate innovation and advance your goals.
Spark a summer of learning – become a member and belong to a community of growth-minded people living
life to the fullest!

bilingual summer reading program for
kids of all interests and abilities.
TD Summer Reading Club (SRC) is a free
program that celebrates Canadian authors,
illustrators and stories. It’s designed to
inspire kids to explore the fun of reading in their own way.
This summer, come explore the stories and science of nature
through adventure and play— marvel at a growing seed, be awed
by extreme weather, and explore our connections to each other
and the earth that sustains us.
Kids can participate anytime, anywhere – at both
our library locations, at home, online, on the road or
wherever summer takes you.
The club is designed for kids aged 3 to 12 years old and
is offered in English or French (when bilingual staff are
available). Explore special programs, creature features,
scavenger hunts, crafts and more!
THE MORE YOU READ, THE MORE PRIZES YOU CAN WIN:
• Join the Summer Reading Club and earn a
sweet treat
• Read 4 books and win a treasure chest prize
• Read 8 books and win a mood pencil
• Read 12 books and win a book
• Read 16 books and win a book
Keep playing online for a summer
full of virtual awards and badges, the
more you read the more you collect!
BONUS: Join us each
week for a new craft
and scavenger hunt!
