Thank you for your interest.
Now is time to start envisioning you and your group enjoying a morning meditation or swim
with the dolphins in one of the bays just minutes from our sanctuary then ending the evening
with an amazing dinner on our dining lanai, watching the sun set over Kealakekua Bay.
WhaleSpirit Sanctuary is truly a sacred place. The mana (Hawaiian term for spiritual force or
energy) is very potent here. Our secluded 5 private acres overlooks Kealakekua Bay, one
the of the ten most powerful vortexes on the planet. We are well protected (both spiritually
and from storms) by the majestic Pali Kapu O Keōua cliffs where the ancient Hawaiian
Kings and Queens are buried. Our sanctuary, with great honor and respect share these
same pali/cliffs with the sacred royalty. Even those who are not sensitive to energy, will
experience why this land is so special and why the Hawaiians consider it most sacred.

Malama is a term used to indicate a relationship of deep respect and care for the land, ocean and all that
surrounds us. The Hawaiian dictionary lists many possible meanings: to take care of, respectfully tend to, nurture
and care for, preserve, protect, to be in service to, honor as living holy, loyal land custodian, caretaker.
Mana is a term used to describe a spiritual force or energy.

ABOUT OUR SANCTUARY
You and your group will be well nurtured with powerful mana that permeates our secluded 5-acre, eco-friendly property. WhaleSpirit
Sanctuary is one of the few retreat rental facilities on the island large enough to hold transformational retreats, classes, workshops, or
other special gatherings. If you are looking for a relaxing, healing and rejuvenating experience then this is the right place.
We are less than a two minute drive or 8 minute walk down to the Kealakekua Bay - a marine life conservation district for colorful fish,
turtle, dolphins, whales and manta ray. It is ideal for swimming, kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling.
Ancient Hawaiians came this sacred bay to as a place for rest and revitalization. Hikiau Heiau, a luakini temple of Ancient Hawaii, sits
directly below us at edge of the bay. This area was the focus of extensive Makahiki celebrations. The sacred City of Refuge is only a 5
minute drive away.
According to sacred geometry, this bay is one of the planet’s 10 major vortices and a pre-disposition for inter-dimensional experiences
as it creates a ‘portal’ or ‘star gate.’ This may be why the Ancient Hawaiians named it Kealakekua - Pathway of the Gods. Many of our
guests have reported that intentions made at WhaleSpirit are greatly magnified while here.

MAIN HALE: sleeps total of 18 - Full kitchen, Yoga room, 2 Dining Lanai’s, 6 bedrooms (each room has one Queen and one Single Bed)
We have 6 additional cottages if you need more space:
DRAGON FLY: sleeps total of 4 (two Queen Beds) with Full Kitchen and Private Bath
5 ADDITIONAL COTTAGES: each cottage sleeps total of 2 (one Queen Bed) with Kitchenette and Private Bath
HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO THE OCEAN?
We are a 8 minute walk or less than a 2 minute drive. Each room/cottage will fall asleep and wake to the sounds of the ocean.
WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABILITY FOR ------- (DATES)?
At the bottom of each page of our website is a calendar that you can scroll through to see what we have available for your dates.
WHAT IS THE COST PER PERSON?
We do not charge per person. Depending on how many people you choose to stay in the Main Hale will define your cost per person. The same is
with the cottages. You will start with renting the Main Hale and add cottages as you need.
• i.e. Main Hale: It is up to you if you would like to use all the bed space (sleeps 18) or just put one person per room. The rental of the Main Hale will be the same.
HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO THE AIRPORT? DO YOU OFFER TRANSPORTATION?
We are about 35-45 minutes from Kona International Airport. Unfortunately, due to liability we cannot not offer transportation services.
• On our website www.whalespiritsanctuary.com/resources/ will be a list of rental car companies or rental vans.
• Taxi/Uber/Lift can be up to $90-$110 depending on the season.
DO YOU OFFER MEALS/CHEF?
We can recommend an amazing chef who has catered many retreats at WhaleSpirit or you are more than welcome to bring your own/caterer. This
allows you the flexibility to cater to the specific dietary needs, quality and costs specific to your retreat.
WILL THERE BE OTHERS ON PROPERTY?
If you book the Main Hale and all 6 cottages then the property is exclusive to your retreat/event. Any remaining cottages will be available to
vacationers. However, the Main Hale will be exclusive to your retreat/event. Vacationers renting the cottages will not have access to the Main Hale.
OTHERS ON PROPERTY: Our property care-takers lives on site. Housekeepers - only before/after your retreat and general property maintenance (landscapers
- once a week, handyman - only when needed/emergencies)
WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO (SITES/EXCURSIONS) NEAR YOU?
When you book with us we are going to send our own extensive 40+ page Welcome Guide that will answer most, if not all your questions and even
the ones you did not think to ask (we have done this a lot and get a lot of the same questions). This guide will point you in many great directions for additional
activities for your group. Due to liability we do not offer concierge type services.
DO YOU RENT SNORKEL GEAR OR KAYAKS?
Unfortunately, due to liability we cannot not. However, in your welcome guide we will list several places for you to go to rent these items.

The dates are first come first served. We encourage you to reserve your dates for the Sanctuary as soon as possible.
FIRST DEPOSIT 25% is required at the time your reservation is confirmed to secure the dates.
(if you are booking multiple weeks with us and more than a year away we will work with you on the initial deposits.)
SECOND DEPOSIT 25% is required 120 days prior to the program commencement date.
FINAL PAYMENT is due 45 days prior to the program commencement date.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Most retreats plan and book their events a year or more out. Please understand our cancelation policies have to reflect the nature of this industry. A link
to an expanded versions of our policies can be found at the bottom of every page of our website.
In the event that global events restrict you and your groups ability to travel we will update new temporary cancellation policies on our website.

We maintain a natural environment, practically untouched by toxins and chemicals.
Sustaining a “spray free” environment honors the health of those who stay here and
allows us to properly love, care and steward the land. We do our very best to keep
the WhaleSpirit Sanctuary as clean as possible. However, co-existing with the kūlokos
(locals) such as geckos and other friends is part of the experience of living on a chemical
free, “spray free” sanctuary.
COVID+ CLEANING
We continue to improve your sanctuary experience
to provide for you a comfortable, safe and healthy
environment for you and your participants/family.
We already require our clean team’s protocols,
procedures and standards to be high. Happily we
found there was very little that we weren’t already
doing to make sure that the facility is COVID+ clean.
PLANT-BASED INGREDIENTS
We respect the health of our guests and understand
that some of you are chemically sensitive. To sustain STEVE THE GECKO
an eco-friendly environment and support our guests
health and well-being, we use laundry detergents
that are USDA Certified Biobased Product and free of
synthetic fragrances, dyes and artificial brighteners.
KITCHENWARE
We were very excited when we found Bamboolze
Kitchenware dishes are an eco-friendly, non-toxic,
durable material, that is also dishwasher safe. The
Bamboozle products are primarily made from
repurposed bamboo fibers and BPA free! Bamboozle
has scored the highest marks for food safety and

Staying pono (good energy and good intention, with high moral standards) with the
land is very important to us and we do all we can to show our love and honor to this
sacred space we call WhaleSpirit Sanctuary.
Kumu Keala Ching honored us by conducting an ancient ceremony to offer a blessing
for the land and the emergence of WhaleSpirit Sanctuary.
The blessings from Kumu Keala Ching was to further deepen our desire to continue
to show respect for the sacred land we are resting on. The intention was to offer all
who stay with us at WhaleSpirit Sanctuary, the opportunity to immerse themselves in
the mana of Aloha and experience a truly positive and harmonious environment in
Hawaii.
It was a ceremony to remember. It was incredibly powerful with drumming, chanting,
the sacred hula dance and a traditional Hawaiian meal afterward.
Kumu Keala Ching walked all 5+ acres and blessed each individual cottage and
