The INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTOR SUMMIT 2019 is a private event held on behalf of and by opinion leaders in the area of infrastructure investment and finance from Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the “DACH” countries) and beyond. Contrary to most other events on the topic of infrastructure, the 4th INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTOR SUMMIT 2019 is reserved for a limited, exclusive circle of people consisting of established market players and opinion leaders. The seniority and the high caliber of the participants combined with an open and dialogue-based event format will enable relationships to be established or cemented in an exclusive environment. The setting and atmosphere of the forum facilitates a constructive exchange on the latest and most innovative topics relating to infrastructure investments. The innovative and intimate character of the forum allows a direct dialogue to be held between decision-makers at investor level, leading infrastructure asset managers, project developers, infrastructure firms and other important players in infrastructure markets. Prior to this he held various senior management positions as Global Head of Transport & Social Infrastructure at DekaBank and Vice President at DVB Bank SE responsibility for the sourcing, arranging, structuring and underwriting of large-scale infrastructure project, both on the debt and equity side. While operating the global transport and social infrastructure investment unit, Burkhard has been appointed as CEO at Deka Kommunal Consult an advisory firm specialised in PPP transformation for the public sector and private entities. Throughout his professional life of more than 20 years he established excellent relationships within the administration, industry sector and investment. He started his career as assistant director at Volkswagen Mexico. Burkhard holds a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Applied Science Koblenz. Burkhard’s university decree was supported by international engagements at university of Zaragoza, Spain and mandates in Ecuador, Mexico and London. Burkhard’s most notable achievements were that he was instrumental in structuring and placing Europe’s first open-ended regulated senior secured infrastructure debt fund in 2009. He has spent the past 16 years working in debt and equity markets with a focus on infrastructure, including the past six years as part of the Westbourne team responsible for committing over of $8 billion of client capital to 70 infrastructure debt investments. At Westbourne Capital, Tim’s responsibilities include sourcing of investment opportunities, investment analysis, asset management, capital raising and client management. His investment experience covers all major infrastructure sub-sectors including regulated utilities, conventional and renewable generation, midstream infrastructure, airports, ports, toll roads, telecommunications infrastructure and social infrastructure PPPs. Prior to Westbourne Capital, Tim worked for DWS (formerly Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management) and previously held roles at Hastings Funds Management, Dresdner Kleinwort and Wells Fargo.
