Chavez Huerta Projects 1. Community Block grant request $4.45 Million from new funds being sent to the City of Pueblo from the Biden American Recovery Plan. a) Town hall in-person & Virtual April 21, 2021 b) City Council Update May 3, 2021 2. Planned Athletic – Physical Wellness Facility including 6 Lane Track, 2,000 seat capacity, press box, turf multi-use (football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Band) competition field a) Submit Daniels/GOCO - July 31, 2021, NFL May 1, 2021 3. Transitional new Ersiila Middle School a) Beginning construction May 3, 2021 4. 18th Street extension Perry to Spaulding a) Project Beginning June-July, 2021
Westgate Guardians Chavez Huerta, Pueblo Development, Lifestyle Development ● Revitalizing a once proud vibrant community with a 75 year history ○ Began after the war years in the 1940’s 11 Dairies, vegetable farms and Chicken farms in the community Annex in the City in 1968 Last Economic Boost 1970's NeighborWorks and Total Building Concepts are out of buildable lots. 1899 Chamblelin Plat provides Pueblo Development and Lifestyle Development the opportunity to have buildable lots one street infrastructure is completed.
Westgate Guardian Trio Chavez Huerta, Pueblo Development, Lifestyle Development CHPA is: ➢ Building new ECMS Middle School with its 2020 Bond Refinance program ($25 million) ➢ Plans to build new elementary school, remodel High School with Best Grant ($35 Million) ➢ New Athletic-Physical Wellness Center with grant ($5.5 Million) ➢ Revamp Holy Rosary softball-baseball fields ($200K) ➢ Building a new maintenance –transportation center with solar farm ($600 K) Total $80 Million Investment over next 3-5 years Increase Overall Capacity of CHPA to 2500 students

The City of Pueblo Plans is projected to receive $46 Million in COVID relief funds 2. Estimated Budget for City of Pueblo Planning Dept. a. Requested April 14, 2021 3. Town Hall Meeting a. Meeting tonight April 21, 2021 4. Revisit Pueblo City Council to present/submit COVID Grant Funds Request a. May 3, 2021 5. Best Grant Award – Anticipated May 2021 6. 2020 Bond Refinance $25 Million - Completed
