ERASMUS+ in Times of the Corona Virus – What You Should Know: • Current options: ➢ Your host university allows your stay on site and you go there as planned. ➢ You start your stay online from here (if you host university offers this option) and you travel there there later in the semester (approval of your academic coordinator required, please check with him/her). ➢ You complete the entire programme at your host university online from here (if this option is offered by your host university; approval of your academic coordinator required, please check with him/her) ➢ You withdraw from the programme in the next semester (application for a later programme year possible) • The decision whether you start/continue your ERASMUS+ stay is yours at any point in time! • Stay informed about the situation in your host country, please check regularly the information on your host country and on Covid19 provided by the German Federal Foreign Office at https://www.auswaertiges- amt.de/de/ReiseUndSicherheit (in German only ). If you hold German citizenship, register online for the crisis prevention list of the Federal Foreign Office at the beginning of your stay: http://elefand.diplo.de/ . If you hold citizenship of another country, please contact the consulate of this country upon arrival to arrange for support in case of a crisis. To do before you leave: ✓ Apply for leave of absence at Trier University (if required) ✓ Make sure you have sufficient health, accident and liability insurance for your stay abroad => info sheet Practical Information ✓ Apply for student residence permit or visa in your host country (if applicable, please note that there may be changes regarding Great Britain, please check with your host university in avance) ✓ Contact the local authorities („Einwohnermeldeamt“) if you give up or change your current address in Germany / inform the „Ausländerbehörde“ if you are abroad for more than six months ✓ Complete and sign grant agreement (important: check duration and bank account, enter previous ERASMUS stays abroad and the address of your primary residence while abroad) ✓ Set up learning agreement with your host and home coordinators and e-mail a scan of the final version with all required signatures to International Office (pdf only) ✓ Take the EU Online Language Support test and the OLS language course 18.11.2020 International Office 3
To do after your stay: ✓ Submit certificate of stay ✓ Take 2nd EU – OLS test ✓ Submit part 3 of the learning agreement, include transcript and information on recognition (pdf only) ✓ Submit EU online questionaire on your stay and report for future participants 18.11.2020 International Office 4
ERASMUS+ Mobility grant: Gruppe 1: 450 EUR / month (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Luxemburg, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom) Gruppe 2: 390 EUR / month (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain) Gruppe 3: 330 EUR / month (Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey) 18.11.2020 International Office 5
Duration and Conditions of the grant: ➢ Maximum: 12 months per study cycle (including zero grant periods) ➢ Online studies from outside the host country will not be supported financially (=> zero grant) ➢ One month equals 30 days ➢ Quarantine periods and preparatory language courses in the host country as well as orientation programmes at the host university can be included in the funding period. In contrast, travel days, and other periods of stay for personal purposes do not qualify for funding (i.e. the amount of the grant will be based on the „academically relevant“ period only). ➢ If you want to extend your funding period, you have to apply for the extension of the grant one month before your current grant agreement ends at the very latest. The extension will depend the on availability of funds. ➢ The final amount of your grant will depend on your actual study period as confirmed by your host university at the end of your stay, which means the total amount of the grant will be reduced if your actual study period is shorter than the one originally indicated in the grant ageement. ➢ Periods of study confirmed by your host university that are not covered by your grant agreement cannot be funded and will be considered zero grant periods 18.11.2020 International Office 6
OLS – Language assessment and courses ➢ OnlineLinguisticSupport => offered for for all 24 official EU languages ➢ Language assessment mandatory for all Erasmus+ participants with one of the available languages as the main language of instruction (unless native speaker); language courses optional ➢ Language courses: Based on the test result, participants may follow an online language course before and during the mobility (main language of instruction and/or, depending on test result, national language(s).) ➢ Registration (data entry and modification) by the participant www.erasmusplusols.eu OLS User Guide: https://support.erasmusplusols.eu/hc/en-gb/articles/360006594114-Language-Course-User-Guide 18.11.2020 International Office 7
Learning Agreement ➢ Three parts: o Part 1: Before the Mobility (for all fields of study and the complete mobility period) o Part 2: Changes during mobility (until 5 weeks after beginning of classes) o Part 3: After mobility ( + Transcript of records and proof of rcognition at Trier Univ.) ➢ Part 1 : Send to anne.schneider@uni-trier.de with signatures of all three parties until 1st December 2020 => In any case before starting the mobility! ➢ Part 2: Changes should be agreed upon by all parties, at the latest 5 weeks after start of semester, and sent to IO ➢ Part 3: After return and after successful recognition Forms and guidelines : www.erasmusout-eu.uni-trier.de 18.11.2020 8

No need to have one-to-one correspondence between components followed abroad and the ones replaced at Trier Univ. A group of learning outcomes achieved abroad replaces a group of learning outcomes at the Sending Institution. 18.11.2020 International Office
