Here is a list of notable events from the past week! Some incidents may have been omitted to preserve the integrity of an ongoing investigation or to protect a victim. Addresses are not specified in some cases, referred to instead by block. The Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility is currently only accepting Felony and Domestic Violence offenders due to the ongoing health emergency. The House of Corrections will not accept prisoners held on municipal warrants. 05/30/2022 Battery 9419 S 27th Street – Traveler’s Motel On Monday, 05/30/22, at 2018 hours, a resident of Franklin was taken into custody for Battery after he struck his brother in the face. He was booked, cited, and released from the station. 05/31/2022 Warrant Arrest 2900 Blk W Rawson Ave On Tuesday, 05/31/22, at approximately 1037 hours, a subject was taken into custody for having a valid warrant with the Milwaukee Police Department for Violating a Domestic Abuse Order. 2
Retail Theft 6701 S 27th St - Walmart On Tuesday, 05/31/22, at 1321 hours, at Wal Mart, a subject was taken into custody for Retail Theft and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after he attempted to leave the store with unpaid merchandise valued at $152.00. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest. He also had a valid Warrant with Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office for Retail Theft but due to the current health emergency, they did not want him detained. He was booked, cited, and released. At the same time, a second subject was taken into custody for Retail Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespassing after attempting to leave the store with merchandise valued at $14.00. He also had two valid Warrants with MCSO for Retail Theft and Battery but due to the current health emergency, they did not want him detained. He was also booked, cited, and released. Hit and Run/Recklessly Endangering Safety S 27th St/W College Ave On Tuesday, 05/31/22, at approximately 1533 hours, at Radcliff and Root River Drive in Greendale, a subject was taken into custody for Hit and Run Causing Injury and Recklessly Endangering Safety. This occurred after he struck two vehicles at S 27th/W College Avenue, and fled the scene. The driver nearly struck pedestrians crossing the street at the time of the incident. He was also cited for local drug related offenses and referred for state drug charges, pending results of chemical analysis. He was turned over to County Jail. Retail Theft 6701 S 27th St - Walmart On Tuesday, 05/31/22, at approximately 1556 hours, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Trespassing and Possession of THC. This occurred after he was identified by employees who recognized him to have been previously trespassed. He was booked, cited, and released. Felony Warrant W St Martins Rd/W Forest Home Ave On Tuesday, 05/31/22, at 2305 hours, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for a Felony Probation and Parole Warrant. This occurred pursuant to a traffic stop related to a speeding violation. He was transported to Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and turned over to personnel. 3
06/01/2022 Warrant Arrest S 27th St/W Puetz Rd On Wednesday, 06/01/22, at approximately 1459 hours, a subject was taken into custody for having two valid warrants with our department. He was released after signing Personal Recognizance Bonds. Mutual Aid - Greendale On Wednesday, 06/01/22, the FRPD Drone Unit assisted the Greendale Police Department with locating and apprehending an armed subject who fled from a Retail Theft. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Retail Theft 6701 S 27 St - Walmart On Wednesday, 06/01/22, at approximately 1638 hours, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Retail Theft and Trespassing after she attempted to leave the store with unpaid merchandise valued at $24.81. She had previously been trespassed from the store. The subject was booked, cited, and released. 06/02/2022 Possession of Controlled Substance/Warrant Service 8973 S 27th St – El Rancho Motel On Thursday, 06/02/22, at 0144 hours, at the El Rancho Motel, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for having a valid warrant with Greenfield Police Department for Traffic Offenses. He was released after signing a Personal Recognizance bond. A second subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Possession of THC and Possession of Crack Cocaine. The subject was booked, cited, and released with charges for Possession of Cocaine referred to the District Attorney’s Office for review. Possession of Controlled Substance 8900 Blk S 27th St On Thursday, 06/02/22, at 0148 hours, a subject out of Greendale was taken into custody for Possession of THC pursuant to a traffic stop. He was cited and released on scene. Possession of Controlled Substance 9375 S 27th St – Modern 41 Motel On Thursday, 06/02/22, at 0322 hours, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana. She was booked, cited, and released. 4
Mutual Aid – Greenfield PD S 51st St/W Morgan Ave - Greenfield On Thursday, 06/02/22, at 0340 hours, the FRPD Drone Unit was requested to assist GFPD in the area of S 51st/W Morgan Ave regarding an abandoned stolen vehicle where multiple suspects had fled. Two suspects were apprehended. Traffic Crash Causing Injury W Ryan Rd/S 51 St On Thursday, 06/02/22, at 1700 hours, at S 51st St and W Ryan Rd, a car vs motorcycle crash occurred causing the closure of several lanes of traffic. The operator of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital. 06/03/2022 Eluding S 27th St/W College Ave On Friday, 06/03/22, at 0137 hours, FRPD engaged in a 10.6 mile pursuit with a silver Hyundai Sonata after an attempted traffic stop. The pursuit was terminated on Hwy 41/45 northbound prior to the zoo interchange construction. The vehicle was then observed by Greenfield PD traveling on I-94 eastbound at S 84th St. A plate was obtained. Follow up to continue. Death Investigation 4200 Blk W College Ave On Friday, 06/03/22, at 0905 hours, FRPD assisted the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office with the investigation of the death of a 97 year old Franklin resident. Retail Theft 6701 S 27th Street -Walmart On Friday, 06/03/22, at approximately 1554 hours, a subject was taken into custody for Felony Retail Theft after leaving the store with merchandise valued at $889.48. She then fled the scene in a vehicle. Follow up to continue. Retail Theft 6701 S 27th Street -Walmart On Friday, 06/03/22, at approximately 1935 hours, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Retail Theft after attempting to leave the store with merchandise valued at $30.92. She was booked, cited, and released. 5
Retail Theft 6701 S 27th Street -Walmart On Friday, 06/03/22, at approximately 2120 hours, a subject out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Retail Theft after attempting to leave the store with merchandise valued at $51.12. He was booked, cited, and released. 06/04/2022 Warrant Arrest W Drexel Ave/W Victory Creek Dr On Saturday, 06/04/22, at 0135 hours, a resident of Franklin was taken into custody for having a valid warrant with our department for a traffic offense. He was released after signing a Personal Recognizance bond and issued a citation for Operating after Suspension. ELUDING *UPDATE* 5400 Blk Long Island Dr-Milwaukee On 06/04/22, the silver Hyundai Sonata involved in the Eluding incident on 06/03/22 was located and towed from an address in Milwaukee. The owner was cited by mail for Owner’s Liability for Fleeing from a Traffic Officer. The vehicle will be held until contact can be made with the owner. Trespass to Property 12100 Blk W Rhoder Ave On Saturday, 06/04/22, at 1200 hours, a Franklin Resident was issued a citation for Trespass to Land after she went on to a neighbor’s property and sprayed a chemical on his garden. Operating While Intoxicated-2nd Offense 6000 Blk W Ryan Rd On Saturday, 06/04/22, at 2247 hours, a subject out of Muskego was taken into custody for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense. She later provided an evidentiary breath sample which indicated that she had a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration of 0.19. She was also cited for Operating After Revocation, Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device, No Insurance, and Inattentive Driving. She was transported to an area hospital as a result of injuries sustained during a crash. The subject was later turned over to County Jail. 6
06/05/2022 Disorderly Conduct/Resisting Arrest 4300 Blk W Victory Creek Dr On Sunday, 06/05/22, at 0016 hours, a resident of Franklin was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest after Officers were called to his residence for a disturbance involving him and his wife. While on scene, the subject became irate and began screaming and punching the side of the residence. He became combative with Officers after being taken into custody. He was later booked, cited, and released. Theft 9575 S 27th St - Staybridge Suites On Sunday, 06/05/22, at Staybridge Suites, a victim called to report a theft of catalytic converter from her vehicle. This occurred sometime between 1530 hours on 06/04/22 and 1130 hours on 06/05/2022. Theft 6811 S 27th Street- Jimmy Johns On Sunday, 06/05/22, a victim reported that between the hours of 1400 and 1600 hours, unknown subjects cut the catalytic converter off of her vehicle. Disorderly Conduct 9575 S 27th Street -Staybridge Suites On Sunday, 06/05/22, at 2332 hours, a subject out of Louisiana was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct. This occurred after he was involved in an altercation with another guest over use of the laundry equipment. He poured an unknown liquid substance on the other patron’s laundry. He was cited and released on scene. The subject would later be arrested again for Disorderly Conduct while Armed and taken to County Jail. He was soon released by County Jail and returned to the Staybridge Suites to More to come on that in find his car had been stolen after he left the keys inside. the next thrilling installment of the Weekly Roundup!
