Reading: Recasting Major and Minor plot points. These events are sometimes called ‘plot points’. A Major plot points directly impacts what happens next in a story. They can move the story in a different direction or impact character development. Which of these are major and important? Which are not so important?
Recasting is the skill of telling a story in a different way. As Tomas is a comic-book fan, I thought we could also recast the story so far into a comic. Tomas went to help his Grandad with the garden. It was full of Bongleweed. You are limited to 6 frames, as we only want the major plot points. What would they be?
ICT One of the greatest inventions in the world are computer games. They are a multi-billion pound, worldwide industry, with thousands of people working to bring joy to others! Computer games have changed and become much more sophisticated over the years, but they started as platform games like Pac-Man. Click on ‘The World’s Biggest PacMan to have a go at playing the game.
ICT The aim of the game is to eat as many of the dots as possible, without being caught by the ghosts. If you eat a big dot, you get a ‘power-up whereby you can eat the ghosts as well. If you get caught by the ghosts, Have a go at coding your own you lose a life and return to the Pac-Man game by clicking the centre of the maze. image above.
