Tea Heaven of Munnar

The ecology & culture tour of Munnar takes you on an immersive cultural experience through villages
and forests around Munnar, a biodiversity hotspot as well as Tea making centre. The
experience comprises wild life, trek, farmer interaction, culinary sessions, Tea making and stay in an eco
camp.

Day 1 – Village experience

Our guide will meet and pick you up from Kochi and bring you to an eco friendly resort near Munnar. Stay
is planned in mud houses and cottages.

After lunch and a siesta, we take a culture tour by walk to the surrounding villages. We will walk past
fields growing crops and witness life in a day in these parts.

Day 2 – Tea Experience
After breakfast, we visit the Munnar Tea Museum, Tea estates, Tea factory. Guests will get to learn about
the evolution of the town, the tea estates and the various aspects of the life of tea estate workers. We will
also get to see all the stages that go into process of making Tea. Tea tasting sessions can be organized as
well.

Shopping opportunities exist at the Tea Museum!

On our tour of Munnar, we next head to Top Station, the highest point (1700m) in Munnar. Panoramic
views of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni are on the menu. On the way, we will also stop at Echo
Point. Guests will get to test the aptness of the name of this place by screaming out and wait for the echo!

Day 3- Ridge Walk, Wildlife & Culinary experience

At day break we go for a Ridge walk. Along with an incredible sun rise there is an opportunity to spot the
endangered Nilgiri Tahr today.

A Culinary session on High range cuisine awaits us in the afternoon. We will learn about elephant yams,
colocasias, purple yams and tapioca which form an integral part of the local diet. This is an opportunity to
learn to cook the local dishes from the local people.

Day 4- Interaction with Farmers

After breakfast, we go for a jeep ride to explore the countryside. We will stop at the fields and interact
with farmers. This is an opportunity to in and out about spices, local farm produce and organic
solutions to sustainable farming like mixed cropping, crop rotation.

Day 5

By Noon: End of tour of Munnar after we drop you back to Kochi airport.

Costing:-

       Per Person Cost INR 55000 (This is for 2pax travelling together)
       Per Person Cost INR 46200 (This is for 4pax travelling together)

       AC vehicle for pick-up and drop from the Kochi airport.
       All the entrances charges are included in the package for the travelers.
