Updates, To-dos, and Takeaways Institute on Quality Enhancement and Accreditation, 2021 Dr. Crystal A. Baird Vice President
Follow-up Visits • For virtual visits during the pandemic; hybrids do not require follow-up • Being scheduled now, after SACSCOC Board Action • Typically one day, led by the committee chair, peer evaluator, or SACSCOC VP • No new report needed to prepare • Will include branch campuses and off-campus instructional sites visited as part of the virtual visit
Salesforce Updates • Institutional portal • Use for things like nominating/confirming institutional personnel to serve as SACSCOC peer reviewers and notifying SACSCOC about changes in Accreditation Liaison or CEO • Verify that the SACSCOC database correctly reflects your institution’s off-campus instructional sites • Evaluator portal • Pandemic has delayed implementation of some functionality.
Document Management System • Finalizing internal planning and programming • Pilot testing with selected institutional accreditation liaisons to begin soon • Available fall 2021 or early 2022 for institutional submissions • Submissions will need to be compressed/zipped files with the maximum size = 10 gig (including all narratives and supporting documents); institutions can begin testing internally to make sure that submissions can be “zipped” and “unzipped” without causing problems (like broken links, etc.)

Reports Submitted for SACSCOC Review https://sacscoc.org/app/uploads/2020/01/Reports-submitted-for-COC-review-1.pdf Until the Institutional Portal allows the uploading of documents, please use the following procedures: • Assemble the narrative and supporting documentation into a single zipped (compressed) file. Once extracted, all hyperlinks in the narrative document(s) should open documents included in the extracted zipped file rather than linking to external resources. • File names should conform to the naming conventions of the program used to create the compressed file. Some characters may not allow all of the files to be included in the compressed file. Do not include an “autorun” file. • Documents should be bookmarked, indexed, and searchable. Some third-party vendors offer the option of an HTML or PDF format; either format is acceptable, provided the documents are easy for peer reviewers to access and navigate.
