University Transfer Programme (UTP) Commerce The UTP is the equivalent of the first year of a University of Canterbury bachelor’s degree programme in Commerce. The programme can be completed in two or three academic terms dependant on individual circumstances and in consultation with UCIC staff. Upon successful completion of the UTP, Commerce if you satisfy university admission requirements and deadlines, you will be eligible to transfer to the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Canterbury. UTP: Commerce students can major in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management or Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
