Student Leadership Conference
We would like to invite you be a part of the 2020 Student Leadership Conference on January
11, 2020 at the UBC Vancouver campus.
The conference is a valuable opportunity to connect with more than 1,000 highly-engaged
student leaders working on high impact initiatives on campus and beyond.
Our Vision
This year’s theme is Unfiltered – referring to the filters and frames of knowing that we
have as individuals, communities, and cultures. As leaders, it is important for for delegates
to recognize, reflect, and challenge their own points of view as they continue to make
valuable contributions to their communities – from UBC to the wider Vancouver and global
communities.

Who we are
One of the largest student-run conferences in Canada, the Student Leadership Conference
provides a platform for action-minded individuals to embrace their leadership potential and
explore their abilities in an environment organized by student leaders for student leaders.
What happens at the SLC
The conference is a full day of engaging workshops, inspiring discussions on leadership, and
meaningful networking. A key part of the day is our keynote speech where we have had the
privilege of featuring notable speakers such as UBC alumnus and current Prime Minister
Justin Trudeau and Free the Children founder and humanitarian Craig Kielburger.
