Overview
The world and Canada are facing threat from COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Canada is
frequently affected by natural disasters, as well as climate change, which increasing the disasters
and impacting the losses of lives and personal properties. These are the signs: that the earth is
collapsing faster than we thought. Therefore, it is imperative to promote "environmental education
and disaster prevention knowledge" for all.
This event is promoted by the Tzu Chi Foundation, Bonio Inc., the Environmental Protection
Department, and the Department of Information and Technology and Education of the Ministry of
Education, partner with the PaGamO online learning platform, local environmental protection
groups and the government. We hope that, through this fun event, which is integrated into e-sports
games, combine with online and offline, interactive learning and practice, the students can
comprehensively strengthen their environmental literacy and enhance their awareness of disaster
prevention. Also, we expect the students can establish the correct knowledge, skills, attitudes and
values on environmental protection and disaster prevention.

• International Online Preliminaries：Participants will be grouped by countries. Canada
players will play on the same map in the same game. If you have more than one nationality,
you can only apply one account.
• International Final：Participants are not limited by countries. All players will play on the
same map in the same game.

Eligibility:Global Competition (Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, USA, Canada, Singapore). Anyone who is
interested at environment protection and disaster prevention, is able to apply. This is an
individual scoring game; the winners are ranked by their own individual cumulative scores.
1. All ages are welcome to participate.
2. Advance Rules:
Only one PaGamO account per player(participant). This is a SOLO game, play by each
individual.
o International Cup Online Preliminary Competition (Canada players): Individual Players.
30 players in the top of the individual total points ranking will be qualified to advance
to the Global Final.
o International Cup Global Final：Participants from various countries who have
advanced to the International Cup Global Final, will participate in the competitions,
and awards will be given to the top 10 individual total points.

1. Early Bird Special: Successfully apply by 9/27/2021(Monday), will get PaGamo Special Terrain:

2. Participate Special: Anyone successfully apply by the deadline, will get PaGamO Tzu Chi Special
Terrain: Disaster Prevention Warrior, Magical Eco Armor and Powerful Veggie.
3. International Online Preliminaries Prizes (Canada):
i. First Place: $150 cash voucher or equivalent
ii. Second Place:$100 cash voucher or equivalent
iii. Third Place: $50 cash voucher or equivalent
iv. Forth Place: $40 cash voucher or equivalent
v. Fifth Place: $40 cash voucher or equivalent
vi. Sixth to Thirtieth Places: Eash gets $25 cash voucher or equivalent
vii. Rank top 30 will get PaGamO Special Terrain: ONE White Horse Ranch and ONE
King Shield.
4. International Final Prizes:i. 1st Place: ASUS product (NT$40,000 value), PaGamO Special Terrain: ONE
Fantasia Ferris Wheel, ONE Fantasia Pirate ship, ONE Fantasia Mary-Go-Round
and ONE Angel’s Shield.

How to Apply:
1. Please go to Tzu Chi x PaGamO Environmental Education E-sports World Cup Website
(https://www.esportsopen.pagamo.org/2021tzuchi-ep-worldcup) select “Canada”, will
direct to PaGamO event website to sign up. You need to log in or register an account to
fill out personal information to complete.
2. After completing, please log on to PaGamO website to ensure you are successfully
registered. If there is any issue, please contact customer service.
Game Rules:
1. Purpose: The competition is conducted on the PaGamO gaming platform, and the game
is to answer questions and occupy areas/territories. The purpose of this competition is
in the category of "Environmental Protection and Disaster Prevention Knowledge". The
environmental protection and disaster prevention knowledge uses the questions of
Professor Ye from the Institute of Environmental Education, Taiwan Normal University.
2. PaGamO Specific Rules: WARNING! The event organizer reserves the right to cancel or
disqualify any players who violate to the followings: (which may affect the qualification):
i. Multiple PaGamO account by one player
ii. Incomplete or incorrect information on application
iii. Nationality of non-registered nationality
iv. Other malicious behaviors of bullying and besieging other players that have been
reported and verified.v. Granting access to your account to someone else for the purpose of participating
vi. After verifying identity, the information does not match
3. How to play PaGamO Game:
i. At the beginning of the competition, each player will get seven territories, which
will be randomly generated in the arena, and they will need to answer the
questions to occupy the territory with other players.
ii. In the process of answering questions, you will randomly get "aggressive props"
in the e-sports world. During the game, players can use offensive props to make
strategic layouts to achieve the purpose of the competition strategy. In addition,
the game store also provides item trading.
iii. Online daily has a fixed energy value (stamina) limit. If the energy value is used
up, you cannot continue to answer questions on that day to accumulate points.
＊Attacking the land: 6 points will be deducted for each correct answer, 15 points will
be deducted for each wrong answer
＊Training land: Four points will be deducted for each correct answer, 10 points will be
deducted for each incorrect answer
Please use the energy value properly, and don't guess the question at will, which will
affect the game score.
iv. The daily energy value adopts the automatic recovery system. After the energy
value reaches the upper limit, it will no longer automatically recover. If the
contestant continues to answer questions during the recovery process, the
system will continue to recover, and the total energy value of the day will have a
chance to exceed the energy value Upper limit.
v. The PaGamO competition provides selection of roles. Each role will be different
according to the character's ability bonus. Please choose the competition role
properly.

4. International Online Preliminaries:i. The website will be opened on 11/26/2021 (Friday) 12pm(EST), and CLOSED at
6pm (EST)11/29/2021(Monday)
ii. Game scoring will be calculated by the advisors from each country. All players
will need to log in everyday to answer questions. You may only need to log in
once or twice each day. (No need to standby)
iii. Indonesia, Canada and Singapore, ranking is based on the total points of the
individual from preliminary matches in the country, the top 30 winners will
advance to the overseas Global Finals.
iv. The games will use PaGamO e-sports-"Challenge Map".
v. The daily basic energy limit of the preliminary round is 300 points. Depending on
the character's special ability bonus, the energy limit will be different. If the
energy value of the day is exhausted, you will not be able to continue to answer
questions to accumulate points.
vi. If all the land is lost when other players are rushing for territory during the
competition, the system will regenerate seven territories for the contestants to
the arena.
vii. Scoring：
o (Number of correct answers X7 + number of territories X3) = total individual
points, (online preliminary rounds are calculated from the cumulative number of
correct answers in four days and the number of territories occupied by the
players at the end of the preliminary round)
o In order to maintain the fairness of the game, repeated correct answers will not
be scored twice.
o According to the game's individual points rankings, the promoted players are
selected
o If the points are the same, it will be judged as the first to reach the final
integration time.
5. International Final
i. The global finals will be held on March 27 (Sun), 2022. The locations for each
country are as follows.：
o Taiwan: TBD
o Malaysia: Online
o Indonesia: Online
o USA: Online
o Canada: Online
o Singapore： 30A Yishun Central 1, Singapore 768796)
ii. The global finals will be held at the event site, and players from various
countries will compete in a 20-minute PaGamO e-sports matches. Ranking will
be determined based on the total individual points. The global top 10 winners,
will participate in the award ceremony (or online).
iii. The global finals will use PaGamO e-sports-"Challenge Map".iv. In the case of losing all the territory, due to the event of attacking other players
for territories, the system will not allow the player to regain the territory.
v. Please ensure that the mobile devices are working well and the Internet
connection is smooth before participating in the "online" competitions. All
players are responsible for their own mobile devices or network conditions.
vi. Scoring:
o (Number of correct answers X7 + number of territories X3) = total individual
points.
o The winner’s rankings will be based on total individual points.
o If the points are the same, the time of who reaches the final points first will
prevail.
Advance Qualification：
1. The results of the Online Preliminary Competitions will be posted on the PaGamO
Taiwan Facebook page and the official website of the Tzu Chi Foundation by December
28, 2021 (Tuesday). In addition, an e-mail will be sent to all qualified players. Please
check your email. If you do not qualify for Semis, no further notice will be given.
2. Players who are qualified to the global finals, will receive email before the finals. Please
check your email. If you do not qualify for the Finals, no further notice will be given.
All other rules and terms：
1. To ensure the fairness, only one PaGamO game account per individual player. Any
violation is discovered or reported, the player will be disqualified from the game and is
responsible for any penalties.
2. The event host reserves the right to cancel, pause, or revise in part in case of any
reason. The organizer shall immediately inform participants of such changes.
3. Participating this event, means agreeing to authorize to excerpt or otherwise edit the
pictures, photos, videos and other materials provided by participating in this event
within the scope of the purpose of this event, and make event highlights or experience
reports and other content for public use.
4. All registered players are required to participate the entire " Tzu Chi x PaGamO
Environmental Education E-sports World Cup " event. If they are unable to participate or
cancel due to personal factors, they will be regarded as abandoning the contest, and the
organizer reserves the right not to distribute any prizes or other rewards.
5. On the day of Global Finals, all players must complete the online registration procedures
at the designed time, and the identity of the players will be verified online. If the
identity of the player is not valid with the nationality or the registration time is
exceeded, the staff has the right to disqualify the player.
6. The prizes or rewards received by the players in the competition will be in accordance
with the tax laws of the country.7. Participants must ensure that their mobile devices are working well and that the
Internet connection is smooth before participating in the "online" competition. All
players are responsible for their own mobile devices or network conditions.
8. Before the official competition, contestants may log in through the PaGamO homepage
and enter the "慈濟 tzuchi" world to practice simplified Chinese version and English
version of the environmental education questions.
