As well as ticking off must-see sights, lots of our tours coincide with some mind-bogglingly-good events. Think dancing in the street at Mardi Gras in New Orleans, or celebrating the start of the Lunar New Year in Vietnam. Here, we pick out our favourite five events that’ll make that once-in-a-lifetime holiday even more memorable… 1. The residents cover themselves in a rainbow of brightly coloured powders, and then take part in dancing, singing and eating. Our tours depart weekly between November 2019 and April 2020, so there’s plenty of opportunity to see it all first- hand. Discover more about this tour at tui.co.uk 2. SHAKE A TAIL FEATHER AT MARDI GRAS TOUR: RHYTHMS OF THE DEEP SOUTH The ancient celebrations of Mardi Gras take place each year on Shrove Tuesday, and it’s a really big deal in New Orleans.
