Eastbourne and the South Downs Date: 21st – 25th April 2019 (five days) England Nicknamed the ‘Suntrap of the South’, Eastbourne is literally a place bursting with things to do with its Victorian pier, promenade, exquisite gardens and seafront. Day 1 We leave Cumbria and head south, making a coffee stop en route, to our lunch stop at Newark. We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 A full day’s tour as we travel through rolling countryside calling first at Battle where you can visit the abbey and the site of the 1066 nt ainme Battle of Hastings.
