Fusing the heart and soul of classic Tokusatsu superhero TV shows like Ultraman and Kamen Rider with the rich culture of ancient Southeast Asia and our unique Singapore identity, Sacred Guardian Singa is a Singapore’s answer to the long-running pantheon of global superheroes that have dazzled the world for decades. The Team would like to invite you to join us on our journey to create an epic Singapore superhero legacy. THIS DECK CONTAINS CONFIDENTIAL PROGRAM INFORMATION AND IS NOT FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ACCESS BY INVITATION ONLY. INTRODUCTION
A flippant young man must confront his difficult past in order to defend humanity’s future from a cult of evil demons who have invaded our realm to free their leader - a vicious demon pirate imprisoned for centuries in the mythical Crown of Nila Utama. THE STORY
Singapore is a market where superhero and franchise media are already profitable. Four out of five* of Singapore’s top grossing movies of all-time are superhero movies, and nine out of the top ten are franchise films, amounting to a total box office revenue of S$72.35m in 2018 alone. After the massive success of this year’s Avengers Endgame, this figure is set to grow. Entertainment character licensing accounts for US$121.5b, or 44.7% of the total global licensing market.** This is a gap in the local and regional entertainment industry that has yet to be fully realised. * IMDA Singapore Cinema Statistics Report 2018 ** LIMA Global Licensing Survey THE PROJECT
tokuAsia Pictures is a Singapore-based creative film production company. Over the years, we have honed our storytelling and technical capabilities whilst working with clients such as the National Day Parade, Muis and A.C. Milan to produce compelling brand stories and narratives. We have achieved a mastery of the craft almost unheard of in studios our size. As we started on this project as a hobby group in 2006 and set up a legitimate production company in 2012 with the aim of seeing our dream through to fruition, we strongly believe that we perfectly are positioned to exploit this opportunity. REEL THE PROJECT
We believe that a superhero story has the power to move people and inspire strength in the face of adversity. As Singapore faces an era of uncertainty, we believe the existence of an iconic superhero to call our own can unite people to face challenges together. THE PROJECT
In view of producing a full TV series in the near future, We have assembled a team to develop a Pilot Episode. THE PROJECT
We believe there is immense potential in our character IP, not just in transmedia storytelling but in helping to drive character-centric consumer business market opportunities that are key to growing a local pop culture industry. THE PROJECT
We have self-funded initial development, producing concept artwork of characters, props and villains, as well as engaging a partner to produce a prototype suit. The character has been marketed with zero marketing spend so far, reaching audiences in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and even as far as North America and Japan. We even managed to secure a TV appearance with Channel 8 (Morning Express, 19 Apr) and the Singapore Bicentennial Office is interested to hear more about this project. Hence, we believe it is now time to take things 20,000 people watched our segment on to the next step with a trailer. Channel 8’s Facebook page THE PROJECT

OUR OBJECTIVE IS: To produce a high impact and quality, yet cost-effective trailer, showing off the best elements that we want to bring to the show - The action, the drama, the music, the look and feel - to put the show in the best light possible. The trailer will be an asset to drive community growth by exciting potential investors, partners and viewers, as a main showpiece for us as we seek further capital to produce the Pilot Episode. Based on our current audience numbers, the trailer is expected to hit at least 30,000 combined global platform views (Facebook and YouTube) within two weeks of its launch. An optimised digital marketing activation will be run, and the networks of our existing partners will be leveraged on to push this number further. THE TRAILER
