Hotel details:
The Wool Merchant Hotel is
situated in Halifax town centre.
Facilities 54 rooms, restaurant, bar and lift. Note: there are 10 steps from road
level to the entrance. Bathrooms may have bath, shower or bath with shower
over. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings.

Cover includes medical and legal emergencies as well as lost baggage and passports. Any pre-existing medical conditions,

There is no age limit for coach travel insurance, and some pre-existing medical conditions don’t incur any supplement.

Tour to Yorkshire, 4th – 7th September 2020

Friday 4 September
Early morning departure from Woking Leisure centre and head northwards to the
historic town of Melton Mowbray. Visit the renowned Dickinson and Morris Pork
Pie Shoppe for a demonstration and tasting of one of the UK's most famous
culinary exports! Free time for lunch then continue northwards to Halifax, your base
for a 3 night stay at the Wool Merchant Hotel in the town centre.

Saturday 5 September
Breakfast in hotel, then drive to Skipton, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
Introductory talk at Skipton Castle followed by an optional guided tour of the 900
year old castle. Note that there are about 100 steps in all during the castle tour

including some spiral and some worn staircases. For those not wishing to join the tour, the 12 century chapel
and the church adjacent to the castle could be of interest. There is a tea room in the castle grounds and there
are plenty of benches all around the site to rest and admire the surroundings.
Free time for lunch and to explore – don’t miss the renowned Skipton market which is open on Saturdays.
After lunch enjoy an hour’s canal boat trip on the Leeds-Liverpool canal with award-winning comedian Dave
Spikey of Phoenix Nights and 8 Out of 10 Cats fame as your guide. With his characteristic Northern patter,
Dave takes you on a whistle-stop tour of Skipton and shares canal history that’s refreshingly different from your
average commentary. Coffee/tea and biscuits are included during the trip.
Return to Halifax for a guided tour of the Piece Hall in Halifax (45 mins) followed by evening at leisure

Sunday 6 September
Breakfast in hotel
Drive to Saltaire World Heritage Site when you’ll be met for a guided tour of this fascinating living Victorian
village, then free time for lunch and to explore the shops, places to eat, the Salts Mill or the David Hockney art
gallery.
After lunch, join the coach for the short drive to Keighleyfor a steam train ride from Keighley to Haworth (20
mins) – in 2020, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway celebrates 50 years since the filming of The Railway
Children.
From Haworth station it’s a 10-15 minute walk up hill to the Brontë Parsonage Museum (the coach will
transfer those who prefer not to walk)
Introductory talk (45 mins) and learn what inspired the Brontës in the surroundings of their own home followed
by time to visit the museum at leisure
Return to Halifax for evening at leisure.

Monday 7 September
Breakfast in hotel and settle all personal accounts.
Head southwards to Stamford for a lunch stop at Burghley House and free time to visit one of the grandest
houses of the Elizabethan Age. In 2020 will celebrate 500 yrs since the birth of William Cecil-Lord Burghley
Mid afternoon departure for the return journey to Woking, with a comfort stop en route, arriving mid evening.

Booking Conditions
CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT
Our agreement becomes binding when we are in receipt of the signed copy of your Confirmation of Reservation. You agree to pay for the services
supplied in the currency detailed on the contract.
We cannot be held responsible for reservations when deposits and payment have not been made by the deadlines detailed on your Confirmation of
Reservation.
Where the actual number of passengers travelling is less than booked no refunds can be made, unless seven days notice has been given to T4 Travel.
If tours fall below the minimum number on which they have been based, causing an increase on the unit cost, you agree to pay the supplementary
charge/s communicated to you by T4 Travel.
In the event of late or non-payment, T4 Travel reserves the right to share details with third parties including trade organisations as to such late payment
without cause.
CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
More than 6 weeks prior to departure: loss of deposit
Up to 6 weeks prior to departure: 50%
Up to 2 weeks prior to departure: 100%
CANCELLATION BY T4 TRAVEL
T4 Travel reserve the right to cancel tour arrangements at any time prior to departure if you have not made the necessary payments by the deadline
dates detailed in your Confirmation of Reservation, or if you have defaulted regarding payments on any other tours contracted through T4 Travel.
PRICE ALTERATIONS
Our prices are based on current tariffs, exchange rates and taxes in force at the time of booking. Prices are subject to reconfirmation until the signed
copy of the Confirmation of Reservation and initial deposit are received by T4 Travel. We reserve the right to pass on any increases levied by a third
party until the services are paid for in full.
Concerning foreign currency we take a limited risk as indicated on your Confirmation of Reservation. In the event of a major fluctuation in exchange
rates a surcharge may be necessary.
LIABILITY
T4 Travel's liability is limited to the price of the tour.
We cannot accept liability for the actions or omissions of those involved with the holiday arrangements over which we have no direct control and are not
employed by us as employees or agents.
We cannot accept liability for damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, for instance by reason of industrial dispute, fire, natural disaster
technical problems and terrorist activity.
COMPLAINTS
If a complaint arises on a tour every effort should be made by the client to rectify the problem.
A written report detailing the problem and persons involved should be sent to T4 Travel within 14 days of the termination of the tour.
