We have revised our DC itineraries to include even more than ever before. New for 2018, we will have a GUIDED TOUR (by a licensed tour guide) of the U.S. Capitol and the White House Grounds. Back by popular demand…the Spirit of Washington Cherry Blossom Dinner Cruise, that offers some of the BEST views of DC. Upon arriving in DC we will have a licensed tour guide join us for a step on guided tour of the city. We will visit the Monuments, White House Grounds, and more! Exclusive for our group, we will have a guided tour of the U.S. Capitol. This evening experience the beauty of our Washington Monuments with a guided tour in the moonlight. We will spend the next 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott. We will check-in to the hotel with time to enjoy the indoor pool!! Wednesday, April 4 -- full American breakfast at the hotel Today we will have a full day of DC! We will begin our day with a tour of Arlington Cemetery. Visit the graves of President Kennedy and Robert Kennedy. Witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We will make a picture stop at Iwo Jima Memorial. We will have a guided tour of the Kennedy Center. This afternoon you will have a choice to visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, a living memorial to the Holocaust OR the newly opened Museum of the Bible. Tonight could possibly be the highlight of the tour, a three hour – Cherry Blossom Festival Dinner Cruise aboard the Spirit of Washington. Enjoy the best views of the Washington Monuments, National Harbor, Old Town Alexandria and other iconic D.C. sights. Thursday, April 5 –full American breakfast at the hotel This morning we depart the hotel and will visit the Smithsonian Museums, to tour on your own. Visit the Gardens, Museum, Farm, The Tombs and Historic Trades. Mt Vernon offers a glimpse into 18th century plantation life through beautiful gardens and grounds honoring George Washington’s legacy and life. We will have a guided tour of the Mansion at 3:45 pm – Home of George Washington, an American landmark and an enduring tribute to the Father of Our Country. We will depart Mt.Vernon after our Mansion Tour and travel to Manassas for dinner before arriving in Harrisonburg, VA to overnight. Tour #77636 Thunder Over Louisville Louisville, KY April 21, 2018 $165 per person Join Miller Transportation for the official kick-off of the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival and the unofficial beginning of Spring- Thunder Over Louisville, on board the Belle of Cincinnati. Includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, Hors d’oeuvres, full dinner buffet, cash bar available AND the best seat for the largest pyrotechnic display in North America. Please Note: Boat will depart New Albany and head upriver through McAlpine Lock. Once through the lock, we are at the discretion of the United States Coast Guard, FAA , and local law enforcement. This morning we travel to Gettysburg where we will tour the battlefield with a licensed guide and learn about the largest battle ever fought on American soil. On our way to Lancaster, we will stop at the “Sweetest Place on Earth”, Hershey’s Chocolate World for some chocolate tasting, sightseeing and historical entertainment. A delicious Amish dinner is included upon arriving in Amish Country!! We will overnight the next 2 nights in Lancaster. Wednesday – May 16, 2018---complimentary breakfast at hotel This morning we meet our local guide as we begin a day of sightseeing in the Pennsylvania Amish country. Travel back in time to an era when life was simpler and lived at a slower pace. We venture out onto the Roads Less Traveled through the heart of the Amish Farmlands. We will visit the Amish Quilt & Craft Shop located right on an Amish Farm. Visit Kitchen Kettle Village for lunch (on our own) and have time to stroll through their village of 42 shops and restaurants. This afternoon is the main event … at the Sight & Sound Theatre, where we will experience the greatest rescue story of all time! Jesus is the action-packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey alongside the most famous person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever. A PA Dutch dinner is included tonight. Thursday – May 17, 2018—complimentary breakfast at hotel We still have more to explore in Amish country. This morning we will tour Lititz, PA – Lancaster County’s Sweet Spot, a stunning cultural melting pot of historic country charm and sophisticated urban flair. Next we stop at Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, the first commercial pretzel bakery in America. We can’t leave Lititz without stopping at Wilbur’s Chocolate Store, a one stop shop to pick up that perfect gift for every occasion. Before we head out of town, we will visit Elva’s Studio for a presentation reviving the old art of chalk talk, a fun and inspiring event you’ll never forget. You have to see it to believe!! Late this evening, we travel to New Stanton, PA to overnight. This evening we will arrive in Little Rock, AR, our overnight destination. Tuesday, April 24- breakfast included at hotel Today we are Dallas bound, the second largest city in the great state of Texas. We will have lunch (on your own) at the Dallas Farmer’s Market, a 26,000 square foot food hall and artisanal vendor market containing four anchor restaurants, a mixture of local specialty foods and much more, while taking in a view of the beautiful Dallas skyline. After lunch, we will discover history at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Learn about the life, death and legacy of President John F. Kennedy at the most visited historic site in North Texas. Overnight accommodations are in Mesquite, TX, right outside of Dallas. Wednesday, April 25 - breakfast included at hotel This morning’s adventure is the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame Museum. The Texas Ranger is one of the most cherished symbols of the Lone Star State. Next, we explore the Magnolia Market at the Silo’s, owned by Chip & Joanna Gaines, host of the HGTV’s Fixer Upper. There’s a little something for everyone at the Magnolia Market- shopping, games, the garden and lots of food choices. The Market itself is staged and set up with one goal in mind: to inspire you to own the space you’re in. Our travels continue to the highlight of our tour… San Antonio Texas! We will spend the next 3 nights at the in downtown San Antonio at the LaQuinta Inn & Suites - San Antonio Riverwalk located at the walkway to the River Walk—awesome property AND location!! Thursday - April 26 - Free Brightside Breakfast at the hotel After breakfast we set out for sightseeing and adventure with a step on guided tour of San Antonio. Enjoy the sights and flavors of old Mexico at Historic Market Square, a favorite of locals and tourists. History comes to life as we view Alamo: The Price of Freedom at the IMAX. We will also visit the Alamo (audio tour included) – the mission, the battle, the legend! Today the Alamo is the heart of San Antonio and it is Texas’ most visited historic landmark. This afternoon be ready for a one-of-a-kind San Antonio experience on the all new GO RIO Cruises – brand new in 2018. This evening is leisure to stroll the riverwalk and have dinner on own. Our travels takes us to Houston, Texas stopping at the Houston Space Center. Be inspired by the wonders of space exploration and go behind-the-scenes of America’s exciting space program. Take a 90 minute NASA Tram Tour, go behind-the-scenes at NASA Johnson Space Center. You will tour Rocket Park, home of the Saturn V rocket, which is the most powerful rocket ever built. We will arrive in time for lunch and shopping at the Old City Market – Charleston’s #1 most visited attraction, also one of the nation’s oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston. Dinner is included this evening at the famous Charleston Crab House. We will overnight the next 3 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn. Tuesday - May 22, 2018—breakfast included at hotel After breakfast we will get the true low-country experience at Magnolia Plantation and Magnolia Gardens, one of “America’s Most Beautiful Gardens” (Travel + Leisure Magazine) and is the only garden honored with this distinction in the State of South Carolina. Experience history and wildlife on the tram tour of the plantations wetlands, lakes, forest, and marshes. Naturalist guides help you spot alligators, turtles and more in native habitats. The highlight of this outing will be a visit to the Joseph Manigault House, considered one of the finest examples of Adamesque Architecture in the country. The tour will end at Old City Market, where you will have time for lunch. After lunch, we will enjoy the sights of Charleston the way your ancestors did, aboard a horse-drawn carriage. This evening, enjoy a dining experience at the Upper Level at Magnolias, an extraordinary dining experience in an elegant atmosphere. Thursday - May 24, 2018—breakfast included at hotel This morning we depart Charleston, but the fun isn’t over yet. Our travels take us to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. For our farewell dinner, we will become part of the longest running feud in history and help the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s (dinner show) try to settle their differences mountain-style. We will overnight in Pigeon Forge. Friday - May 25, 2018—breakfast included We will depart the hotel and travel to the outlets in Pigeon Forge, departing after lunch for our return trip home. We will stop for lunch near St. Louis. We will continue on to Blue Springs, Missouri where we will overnight. Sunday - May 27, 2018-- breakfast included at hotel Today we head to the Old West Town of Dodge City, Kansas for lunch and a step on guided tour of the “beginning of our western adventures.” We overnight this evening in Lamar, Colorado. Monday - May 28, 2018--breakfast included at hotel While crossing the beautiful Spanish Peaks of Western Colorado, we will get our first glimpses of Colorado. We will make a stop in LaVeta, Colorado, for shopping time in this charming town and continue on to Cuchara, Colorado for lunch. Our afternoon travels take us on to the beautiful Santa Fe where we will stay the next three nights at the Drury Inn and Suites in Santa Fe, an amazing location within walking distance of the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe. There are many restaurants to choose from in walking distance of the hotel or take advantage of their 5:30 pm kickback each night until 7:30 pm consisting of a rotating menu of hot food and cold beverages. Also, free soft drinks and popcorn in the lobby every night until 10:00 pm. Tuesday - May 29, 2018-- hot breakfast included at hotel This morning we board our trolley tour of downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico, the oldest capital city in the United States. We will tour Loretto Chapel and see its mysterious staircase followed by lunch and shopping at Santa Fe Plaza- a National Historic Landmark, the center gathering place in town. This afternoon we will visit the Georgia O’Keefe Museum. Wednesday - May 30, 2018-- hot breakfast included at hotel Taos Pueblo is our first stop today where we will learn about one of the oldest continuously inhabited pueblos in the southwest. After the pueblo, we will stop for lunch in Taos, New Mexico and have time to browse some of the shops there. On our way back to the hotel, we will stop at Rio Grande Gorge Bridge for pictures and a chance to purchase some Native American artisan jewelry. Thursday - May 31, 2018-- hot breakfast included at hotel It’s time to say goodbye to Santa Fe, but the fun isn’t over yet. We continue our adventures in Albuquerque, where you will see some of nature’s more dramatic beauty unfold before your eyes, with a ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway- 2.7 miles of absolutely breathtaking terrain and deep canyons. We will have time for lunch in Old Town Albuquerque before checking into our hotel. Browse the streets of Old Town and discover unique handmade crafts. We will overnight at The Drury Inn & Suites in Albuquerque which includes their popular 5:30-7:00 pm kick-back, a rotating menu of hot food and cold beverages. Friday - June 1, 2018-- hot breakfast included at hotel Today we are headed for a fun morning at the UFO Museum in downtown Roswell, New Mexico. After lunch, we will visit Carlsbad Caverns where a truly underground experience awaits us. We overnight in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Saturday - June 2, 2018--breakfast included at hotel Good-bye New Mexico, Hello Texas! We will cross the line between New Mexico and Texas today and head to stunning Palo Duro Canyon State Park to see, “Texas”- the musical drama in a one of a kind outdoor amphitheatre in the second largest canyon in America. A Chuck Wagon Dinner is included before the show. We overnight at the Holiday Inn Express in Canyon, Texas. Sunday - June 3, 2018--breakfast included at hotel We bid farewell to Texas this morning and travel to Joplin, Missouri to overnight at the Drury Inn & Suites in time for their popular 5:30 pm kick-back, a rotating menu of hot food and cold beverages. Stop by the lobby until 10 pm for free soft drinks and popcorn. Monday - June 4, 2018 We travel home today with lots of memories of the Land of Enchantment. “The attractions (were) very beautiful & interesting. View the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Center. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Lands End”- PROVINCETOWN. We will have time to explore this quaint village and have lunch. This afternoon, choose between a Whale Watching cruise and travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the atlantic, and fish use these shallow waters to feed. After lunch, we will attend the matinee performance of Samson – the original superhero at the Sight & Sound Theatre. We top off the day at The Hughes Brothers Theatre for their Star Dinner Show. The sights, sounds, and spirit of Christmas completely surround you at this amazing store, which is the size of one and half football fields, overflowing with 50,000 trims and gifts. We will overnight in the quaint village of Frankenmuth at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. After we check-in, a family style chicken dinner awaits us at the world-famous Bavarian Inn Restaurant (included). Wednesday – August 15, 2018--hot breakfast included at hotel This morning we drive across one of the world’s most beautiful bridges, the Big MAC Bridge to St. Ignace where we will board our ferry to Mackinac Island. Upon arrival, a real treat awaits us….the legendary Grand Luncheon Buffet, a distinct highlight of the Grand Hotel. After lunch, we will take an Island Carriage Tour. The tour ends downtown. You may go to the hotel or visit the downtown shops. Our overnight accommodations are at the beautiful Lakeview Hotel, located in the historic village. The rest of the day is free to explore the island!! You may stroll the shops, walk some of the endless nature trails, or just enjoy the hotel. Don’t forget to pick up some Mackinac Island fudge. We will enjoy a guided tram tour of the farms and gardens before. Don’t forget to visit the 1918 Museum full of memorabilia from the Great War. After our tour, we will be served a royal luncheon!! The fun isn’t over just yet!! After lunch, we will take a guided tour of the Earl Young Mushroom Houses. You will marvel at the unique stone dwellings, cedar shake roofs and natural aesthetics, something you have to see to believe. We will overnight in West Branch, MI.
