GRAND KNIGHT’S REPORT
Brother Knights:
Reminders were sent out for the Home Association meeting on
March 7, the Council meeting on March 10, and the St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s social on
March 19.
Be advised that since the second Thursday in April is Holy Thursday, April 14, we will
have our Council meeting on the first Thursday, April 7.
Also, at this meeting we will further discuss inviting a few members of the American
Legion to the Armed Services celebration breakfast that we talked about during the
March 10 meeting. The breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, May 14. We can discuss a
time at the April 7 meeting. I think the best time for all concerned would be 9:00 AM, but
we can discuss it further. It will be held at the Country Squire.

Brother Knights: SUNSHINE CLUB

Just a reminder to all Mater Dei Knights that
we have been acknowledging all fellow knights’
birthdays since the beginning of the year. This is a new program through our Sunshine
Club that celebrates those whom we honor by sending each member a birthday card
acknowledging how special they are to our Council and our Sunshine Club, as well!
In addition to this, the Sunshine Club also recognizes those brother knights who have
served our Mater Dei Council faithfully and have gone to their eternal reward by having a
Memorial Mass to honor those who have given their time and talents during their life as a
brother knight.
God be with each of you, and blessings to you and your families also.

Well, it's finally Spring. Hope everyone is
enjoying the warmer weather.
Because the second week of April is Holy Week, our April Meeting is being moved to
Thursday, April 21, at 1 PM in St. Pius X Church Basement.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The wives, mothers, sisters and daughters of members of the Knights of Columbus are urged to join the
Auxiliary and participate in its activities, while having fun along the way. Please call our president,

The 2022 COAL program is underway. COAL is a program sponsored by the State Council of the Knights of
Columbus. It is a fundraiser for the State Council and Mater Dei Council! The State Council uses the proceeds to fund its
scholarship program.
ALL CASH PRIZES—THE TOP PRIZE IS $15,000.00!
EACH TICKET IS $5.00. THERE ARE NO LONGER BOOKS OF TICKETS
You should be receiving your tickets the beginning of March in the mail. You can buy the tickets yourself or sell them
to your friends or family! Remember, it is $5.00 per ticket! Please make the check payable to Mater Dei Council! Any
questions, please contact Bob Shoemaker at 484-477-5771 or bobshoe62@gmail.com. We ask that you return all sold
tickets by April 1, 2022 so that the Council will make an additional 25 cents per ticket for those tickets returned by that
date! The drawing is May 13, 2022 at the PA State Convention, which will be held at the Kalahari Resort in the Poconos.
