 ESV Safety Day
 Middy’s supports raising awareness for
general safety in the Electrical Industry by
holding an annual Safety Day in
 conjunction with Energy Safe Victoria.
On Friday 22 November and Friday April 24 2020,
Middy's metro and country branch staff across the State of
Victoria will all don black ’STAY ALIVE NEVER WORK LIVE’
T-shirts in support of the cause.

The day aims to raise awareness and start a conversation at
branch level between contractors and staff on the dangers
 of working live.

Middy’s branches across the State will fire up their BBQs
for the hungry contractors that turn up on the day with ESV
representatives answering questions from our Middy's
 customers concerning workplace safety.

Over the last six years, an average of seven deaths per year
have resulted from contact with electricity in the Australian
electrical industry. Middy's will continue to do all it can to
ensure the death toll is reduced to zero.

Middy's has also partnered with NECA Education & Careers
to help educate young apprentices from the very beginning
of their apprenticeship to ensure they are aware of the
 potential dangers surrounding electricians.

For any questions you may have in regards to safety please
ask one of our staff members or visit the ESV website

Winners Announced
Earlier this year Middy’s ran the largest promotion
in the company’s history. Powered by Clipsal,
customers nationwide had the chance to win their
ultimate Dream Ride with 9 major prizes to be won
plus $50,000 in cash prizes.
The major prize winners could decide which of the 3 Dream Ride
options they desired; a Quintrex Fishing Boat and Trailer, a Harley
Davidson Motorbike or a SeaDoo Jet Ski.

Following the end of the promotion, 9 prize draws were held at
Middy’s branches for the eligible customers from each region.
Contractors arrived at each location in masses, all hopeful despite
not expecting to win. At 12 noon every draw was held. Some of

the winners were overjoyed while others displayed expressions
of disbelief. Ultimately the overall feeling was of appreciation.
The winners were given a few weeks to contemplate their choices
before receiving a call to lock in their decisions.

We caught up with a couple of our winners to find out how things
have been going since receiving their Dream Ride...

Anthony Broulidakis
Cool Sparks Air Conditioning and Electrical
Middy's: Why did you choose the Quintrex Fishing Boat
and Trailer?
Anthony Broulidakis: My brother Alex and I are avid
fishermen who try to get out on the water any chance we get. The
boat we have is very large and requires a lot of effort to get in the
bay. With our new boat, we’ll be able to spend more time fishing
and less time getting in and out of the water.
M: Have you taken your boat out yet?
AB: We haven’t had the chance just yet, but are very excited to
(Left to Right): Daniel Henderson (NSW RSM), Bryan Minns (Wholesale

M: Did you think you were a realistic chance to win?
AB: I jokingly said to Ken (Rosebud Manager) that I’m Dream Ride Major Prize Winners:

upgraded model over choosing a boat or jet-ski? > Craig Edwards - Craig Edwards Electrical
Mark O'Toole: My old bike was great, but it’s not often you’re in WODONGA VIC
