The Oakleaf Oakview Medical Care Facility February 2022 Greetings Residents and Families! I wish I could communicate that COVID was on the decline, but the facts are that COVID is still with us and transmission in Mason County is high with 33.84% positivity rate as of January 24, 2022. Oakview is currently in Outbreak with our last positive employee reported on January 24th. We will continue with testing 2x per week for everyone until out of outbreak, which is 14 days without a positive. We urge all residents to wear their masks when out of their rooms and in company of others. We require all visitors to wear their masks at all times when in Oakview. Together we can keep each other healthy and safe! Exciting News! We have opened the Sutter Living Center again. It has been over a year since we moved residents out to accommodate a resident COVID outbreak. It certainly feels good to be moving back in and watching all the smiling faces! We also moved around some residents on the general side of Oakview to clear out rooms to provide an observation area and keep empty rooms together to correspond with our current staffing numbers. We are carefully managing our occupancy to assure Oakview is in the best financial position possible in these difficult times. As a reminder, all visitors continue to be required to screen in and out of the Accushield system. There is an Accushield located in the front lobby for those visiting residents on the general side of Oakview and there is an Accushield located in the vestibule of the visitor entrance of the Sutter Living Center. Please remember to wear your sticker at all times when in the building. Take care, Jannice Lamm Oakview Administrator Oakview Medical Care Facility 1001 Diana St. Ludington, MI 49431 231-845-5185 www.oakviewmcf.com
