How To Enter: The National Beauty Awards and the National Hair & Barber Awards are aimed at recognising and rewarding talent by finding the most highly commended businesses and / or products in the industry. We think that you should be rewarded for all of your hard work, so have created the awards to do exactly that! Having an award title will also make you stand out to customers and build their trust. You can nominate your business or product(s) for as many categories as you wish by simply completing an online nomination form. After completing this form, you will receive a confirmation email to check that you have entered the correct categories. Nominations open on the 1st February 2019 and close on the 25th February 2019. All of the nominations for each category will be compiled into a voting form, which is open for beauty, hair and barbering professionals to complete from the 11th March to the 12th April. During this time, you are advised to encourage people to vote for your business, as those with the most votes will be declared the winners. Please note, we will only be accepting votes from industry professionals, not the general public. The Award winners will then be announced on the 19th May during an Awards Ceremony at the NEC, Birmingham, which will take place as part of Beauty UK. No judging will take place, it will just be down to the industry professionals to decide on whom they want the winners to be. Afterall, the people who use your products and services are those best suited to vote for you. By winning a National Beauty or National Hair & Barber Award, you will be demonstrating your customers’ belief in you and your service. There will be two nomination forms, so make sure that you pick the correct one you wish to enter, either; The National Beauty Awards or The National Hair & Barber Awards. Please note that we will not enter any hair or barbering products into the National Beauty Awards categories. After the nomination process, we will be providing those nominated with a marketing materials pack which can be used to let people know to vote for you. This pack will include; imagery for social media, email footers and signatures, web banners and logos. Additionally, we will be sending weekly emails to our database of beauty, hair and barbering professionals, as well as posting regularly on our social media pages in order to get people to cast their vote. As before, there will be two goody bags up for grabs for two lucky voters as an incentive for voters. What the Awards have to offer: • Free nomination entry • Free awards ceremony • Logo artwork for use on all of your advertising • Coverage in the July issue of Guild News • Increase reach to new clients • Marketing materials for those nominated • Trophy for winners and certificates for the others placing in the top 5 • Free entry to the Beauty UK Show for you and your colleagues • Increased web presence The Awards Ceremony will be held at the NEC, Birmingham on Sunday 19th May 2019, during Beauty UK, Holistic Health, Hair UK and Barber UK. Frequently Asked Questions How long have the awards been running for? This is the second year that Guild Press have organised the National Beauty and National Hair & Barber Awards. Can I nominate more than one product for a category? For categories that require you to confirm a specific product, only one product can be nominated. Can I submit multiple nomination forms? Submitting multiple nomination forms will not mean that you are more likely to win. We will only add your category nominations in once, not multiple times. However, if you have missed a category off that you wanted to enter, then send your additional entries to olivia@beautyserve.net. Please note that you can only use an email address once when submitting the nomination form, if you are nominating multiple brands then they would need to be included on the one form or you will have to use different email addresses to submit each one. I entered the Awards last year, can I enter them again? You can enter the awards again this year, although you will not be able to enter Best Emerging Brand, Best Emerging Barber Brand or Best Emerging Hair Brand again if you won these categories previously. Also, if you have previously entered a product for Best New Beauty Innovation, Best New Hair Innovation or Best New Barbering Innovation, you will not be able to enter the same products again this year. Is there a limit on how many categories I can enter? You can enter as many categories as you wish. When will we find out if we have made it into the Top 5? We will be letting everyone know if they have made it into the Top 5 on 26th April 2019. If you have made it into the Top 5, this is when we will invite you to the Awards Ceremony. How can I nominate my brand or product(s)? When the nominations open, we will send you the link to the online forms. I’m a salon, can I enter the awards? We have designed the National Beauty Awards and the National Hair & Barber Awards to commend the companies that supply the professional industries, rather than salons, therapists, hairstylists, barbers etc. who use the brands. This means that we won’t be accepting nominations from salons. Who is allowed to vote for us? As these are awards for professional brands, we will only be accepting votes from industry professionals, any votes from outside of the industry will not be counted in the final totals. Where will we need to send people to vote for us? When the voting opens on 11th March, you will need to direct people to our website, www.BeautyServe.com where there will be an Awards tab for them to cast their vote. What will the voting form look like? The voting form will consist of more than one page. The first page will ask for the voter’s contact details and, after pressing submit, will take them to the page where they select who they want to win. They will not have to type any brand names, it will just be a simple multiple choice page. When and where will the awards ceremony take place? The Awards Ceremony will take place on the 19th May 2019 at the NEC, Birmingham. The ceremony will begin during Beauty UK, Holistic Health, Hair UK and Barber UK. If you are exhibiting at any of these shows and have been invited to the ceremony, we understand that you may not want to step away from your stand for the whole duration. Previously, we sent a timetable to those invited with a rough guide of when each category will be called.
