March 2021 Page 3 A word from the President … Mainlands 1-2 Valentine Roses are red, violets are blue. Neighbors are cleaning, how about you? February is a great time to address mold, algae, blistering paint, and weeds. Take a neighborly look at your property...is it clean? Clear? Cluttered? Painted? Peeling? Each of us enjoys our community covenant to present all 529 residences in a positive look. TRANSITION TO CPM: Campbell Property Management… is going as expected. January was bumpy, February has been improving, and March should be smoother! We are so grateful for the advantages PCM bring to us...relief in bookkeeping, consistent attention to violations, and general health of our organization. Much credit to Pam Bushnell, Office Manager, Nancy Major, Treasurer, and especially Tisha Henry, Property Manager. CPM was assigned to violations notices as highest priority moving forward. Always a “Courtesy” Notice first, bringing our roof, driveway, and property concerns to our attention. We, nor you, want to go further on a fining protocol... Photos by Dave WATER ,,, OR NOT? We experienced three broken main pipes in our irrigation system this week (hence, no sprinkling Sunday or Thursday). Jim Daly has addressed all three of these, and we are hopefully going to enjoy sprinklers again soon. So grateful for the mid-week rains! HOW TO REQUEST SPRINKLER REPAIRS… a short form requesting work is in the office. Jim reviews/responds to those within 24 hours… and we do follow-up. Complaining to your neighbor does not get things fixed... POOL PRIVILEGES… all gates are now working! Pool B drains have been repaired! Broward County has allowed, and our Board approved, relaxed restrictions of pool people. Friends and family guests are now allowed! Same safety and sanitation protocols… maintain 6’ distance from non-family… no furniture, chairs, etc on pool deck (paved areas)… and be considerate of one another. Restrooms and water fountains are still closed. POLICE… OR PLEASE? Be nice, talk to one another… especially if you have a neighbor concern. We, the Board, office volunteers, cannot be the “Police”. Someone smoking at the pool bothering you? Ask them nicely to move. OR… you may nicely move upwind from them. Neighbor putting trash out at wrong times? Ask/inform them… nicely… of Mon/Thu system. Street light not lit? Call FPL Loud music/party? Ask neighbor… nicely… to consider others. No, or bad, response? Then call the Police. NICE WORKS… considering others, encouraging neighbors, remembering we are 529 committed-to-Mainlands 1-2 neighbors in community. Let’s enjoy our place! J. Paul Mutchler
