NBA Rising Stars By: Stefan Zaturoski and Julian Gomez Luka Doncic Luka has had a great season putting up 21 points per game. He could become rookie of the year with the way he has been playing. The Atlanta Hawks originally had Doncic, but they gave him to the Dallas Mavericks before the season started. What a mistake! They could have had two amazing rookies, the other one being Tray Young. Even though Doncic won't make it to the playoffs, he has a bright future ahead of him. Luka during his season with Real Madrid Credit: Wikipedia
Kyle Kuzma Kyle Kuzma plays for the Los Angeles Lakers and is averaging 18.7 points per game. In my opinion, he is a big part of the Lakers. The Brooklyn Nets originally had Kyle Kuzma, but he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers as well as Brook Lopez. He is a small forward and a power forward. Kuzma had 899,237 votes for the 2019 NBA All-Star game, but it wasn’t enough votes to take him to the All-Star game. Kyle Kuzma should keep working hard. yle Kuzma K Credit: zig.com
Jayson Tatum Jayson Tatum has had a great season with the Boston Celtics scoring 18 points per game. One of his achievements has been being the youngest player to score 200 points. It's only his second season in the NBA, and he is a threat to other teams. He can score in every way from half courts to dunks, and I am not kidding about the half courts. In the final of the skills challenge in 2019, he beat rookie, Tray Young, with a half court shot. This is another achievement for Tatum. He is a big part of the Celtics and he looks forward to completing larger achievements. Jayson Tatum Credit: Wikipedia
Trae Young Trae Young is a rookie for the Atlanta Hawks and is shooting 28.8% from three-point range through 41 games. I am not worried about his three-point shooting. Trae Young is also averaging 19.1 points per game. In college, Trae played for the Oklahoma Sooners and was averaging 10.56 points per game. In the NBA’s Rising Stars Challenge, Trae had 25 points. He also had six three-pointers in 23 minutes. Wow! I think that if Trae Young keeps practicing, he will be a great player. Trae Young playing in the MCDONALD’s All American game
