Light The Night 2021
This year, in lieu of Trunk or Treat we are having our first ever Light
The Night as a part of our Be The Church Events. Host a light the night
location at home in your neighborhood to shine a light for the Gospel
to the families that come by trick-or-treating. What you do at your
location is up to you but the FBCH staff will be releasing ideas that
you can do as well. We are asking that each LifeGroup gather candy
and have one host home that the other LifeGroup members can attend
and help. The church will also be providing resources for you to hand
out at your light the night location. LifeGroups can register at this link,

Geaux Global Opportunity - The Forest & the Fields We have a great opportunity to minister to our community, in particular, those who are living in the Forest and the Fields neighborhoods through the 100% Off Sale on October 16, at Noon located at the Field. We need your donations: clothes, pots, pans, dishes, furniture, etc... Smaller items can be brought to the church anytime before noon on October 14. Larger items must be brought the day of the sale since we do not have a place to store them. For more information, contact Becca Perry, 318.564.5463.
Night of Worship with The Allens We are excited to announce we will be hosting The Allens for a special night of Worship on Sunday, October 24, at 5:00pm. In 1996, Todd and Michelle Allen began the journey to follow a call to full-time evangelistic ministry with their four young children; traveling all across North America in motor-homes and buses. With the addition of more voices came the innovative, modern sound that has captivated thousands. Now, after more than 20 years of ministry, The Allens continue to be one of the signature faces of the new Gospel music movement, making an impact for Christ around the world.
Geaux Global Opportunity - Prayer for Puerto Rico Team Please be in prayer for the team going to serve in Puerto Rico October 9-16. They will be doing some construction projects with our church planter Oscar Ortiz and Iglesia Bautista Esperanza Eterna, in addition to helping to reach their community with the Gospel. Celebrate Recovery If you have hurts, hang ups, and habits, Celebrate Recovery is the place for you! Geaux Global Opportunity - Kenya Has God placed it in your heart to GEAUX serve in Kenya on a short-term mission trip? Join us on Wednesday, October 6, at 6:00pm in the Connections Room for a meeting about our trip June 27-July8. If God is willing, we plan to host a medical clinic for the community, VBS for the Compel Crosby Home orphans, and mini-mobile crusades throughout the area.
