3 Exercises
IMPROVE YOUR
PUTTING
There’s good reason that the greatest pros to have ever
played the game have dedicated countless hours to
mastering the art of putting. To the novice golfer, putting
may appear to be the easiest task of the sport; it doesn’t
require the more complex swing that is necessary for
driving and the distance is seemingly less difficult to judge
than that of a short swing. However, one should not
mistake the simplicity of putting for it being an easy or
effortless facet of the game. Improving one’s putting skills
is just as important to their overall games as adding yards
to their drive. These three pro-approved exercises are
proven to help improve your putting abilities:
1. Putt Through a pair of tees. This simple exercise
requires minimal setup and has been known to produce
maximum results. For this exercise you simply place a tee
in the ground on either end of the putterhead. Then simply
practice putting through the two tees, being careful not to
tap either. This will ensure that you are practicing the
motion of putting on a direct path to the ball will aid in
keeping your ball along the path of your intended line.
2. Putt around the hole. Much like basketball players who
play “around the world” to perfect their shot from any and
all areas of the court, a simple exercise to advance your
putting skills is to simply putt around the hole. Choose a
starting point about 6 feet away from the hole, putt the ball
and continue this act in a clockwise motion around the
hole. This exercise will help not only make the act of
putting muscle memory but will help with judging distance
and power of your putt.
3. Putt One Handed. Practicing putting one handed is
probably the simplest technique you can incorporate in
your practice to immediately improve your putting skills.
The exercise is self-explanatory as you quite simply
practice putting the ball only using one hand on the putter.
This exercise, popularly used by such greats as Tiger
Woods, allows for a better feel for the release of the putter
head.

LEARNING TO DRIVE
GOING THE
DISTANCE
What do every great golfer and even the most inexperi-
enced amateur have in common? Wanting to see an
increase in their driving distance. Obviously every golfer
would be more than content with adding some extra yards
to their swing, but how to do so is the question. The
answers may be simpler than you think.
The first way one can add some substantial distance to
their swing is by improving their stance. Oftentimes those
new to the sport of golf struggle with the distance of their
drives as a direct result of a very narrow stance at the start
of the swing. A proper stance should leave the outside of
your shoulders directly in line with the insides of your feet.
This widened stance allows for a strong, full swing of the
club increasing the control and power at which the ball is
hit.
It is also extremely important to note the height of the ball
in order to increase the distance of one’s drive. The
general rule is that the center of the ball should be directly
in line
with the top of the club face. This will allow for an easier
upward strike on the ball, allowing for more lift on the ball,
and therefore an increased distance of the drive overall.
Lastly, and arguably most importantly, in increasing one’s
driving distance is to ensure centeredness of contact.
Centeredness of contact is so vitally important because
striking the ball even the slightest bit off center will result in
a significant loss in distance. Just one-inch of center can
result in upwards of a 12% decrease in driving distance.
Like anything else in life, when it comes to driving the ball
down the fairway, practice makes perfect. Through
practice a proper stance becomes second nature, an
upward swing will be instinctual and centeredness of
contact will be almost a guarantee.

February 23rd will go on to be
a day that shook the entire
Golfing world off its feet. For
years now Tiger Woods has
been the star of the PGA,
amassing various awards, a
plethora of endorsements and
of course his fair share of the
public eye.
While Tiger was not without
scandal, he still remains Ame-
rica’s favorite Golfer.
On the 23rd of February Tiger
would take a drive that would
not soon be forgotten.
While in a 45 Miles per hour
zone America’s favorite golfer
ran off the road, colliding with
a tree at a fear-striking 87
miles per hour.

Tiger sustained some gruesome and possibly
life-changing Injuries. After being saved from the
wreck, Tiger was rushed to the Hospital where he
received emergency orthopedic surgeries on his
right foot and femur bone. . . .
Sustaining Injuries in both of his legs, as well as
Sustaini
injuries to the spine, it was (and still is) unclear if
Tiger would ever be able to return to the sport of
golf again.
After several months Tiger still has not
been able to walk, let alone play golf.
While he is recovering, Tiger has yet to
have regular blood circulation return to
his right foot, impeding his recovery
process.
While it still remains unlikely we will
see Tiger ever return to the Fairway,
and almost impossible to imagine he
will return to the fairway as the same
competitor we all once loved to watch,
the golf community as a whole is still
watching Tiger’s recovery closely,
remaining hopefully optimistic that
one day the Golf Icon may just swing
a club again.

It is well known that an active lifestyle leads to a longer and healthier
life overall, we would like to take a moment to reeect on the ways in
which our beloved sport of golf can lead to this improved quality of
life as well. Firstly, golf has a clear beneet on the overall health of the
player simply from the amount of time spent outside. It has been
known for many years the beneets of being regularly exposed to
sunshine and fresh air, playing golf allows for just that.
On top of the beneets of the warm sun and clean
air found on the fairway, the health beneets of golf
extend much further than just the natural ele-
ments players are exposed to. Quite obviously, the
physical activity involved with the sport of golf, not
only just the motion of swinging the club but also
the walking from one hole to another, is beneecial
to the circulatory system of the player.
Lastly, as any player of the sport would know, golf is
much more than just a physical sport, its a game of
the mind. It is necessary to be able to calculate the
power of one’s swing, the direction and force of the
wind, etc. All of these mental calculations help keep
the player sharp and help with mental
conditioning.

Autonation has reported an Average positive surprise of 168.8% over
the past two quarters and holds an earnings ESP of +1.91%. Over the
past year they have proven to be a reliable stock to buy into.
2. Lordstown Motors Corp (RIDE):
Stock Prices shot up from $9.50 to a peak of $31.50 over the course of

The surge in popularity of zoom as a direct result of the pandemic is
widely known, and it reflects in their successful stock market climb.

GOLFING AGAINST THE ODDS Perez is driven to go above and beyond in his sport of choice. Ask him where his ambition comes from, and the prodi- gy—and his parents, for that matter—might point to the uncertainty of his early days. The truth is that things didn’t always come easily to Perez, who was born prematurely in Honolulu, Hawaii. Despite his early birth, his health improved immensely. Perez picked up his first club at just 10 months old, and the rest was proverbial history. Born to a Pacific Islander/Philippine mother named Christine, and an African American/Puerto Rican father Miguel, both of Perez’s parents offered their unending support. The results certainly show it, as the prodigy is already plan- ning a remarkable future in golf.
