Our programs integrate body-based practices, such as dance and yoga, with the community practice of storytelling. Current research in the field of social neurobiology teaches us that our brains are social organs. Our capacity to think, learn, and grow is directly affected by our relationships to others. We have access to our full cognitive ability only when we feel seen, heard, and valued on an embodied and emotional level. This research is teaching us that we need to feel connected to one another in order to thrive. OUR TEAM Jamila Jackson Narieka Masla Founder and Director Assistant Director Jamila is an artist, facilitator and Narieka is a body based scholar who uses embodiment, performance artist, facilitator and storytelling and contemplative Yoga instructor.
