Prelude / Preludio

 Trio from “Elijah”          Felix Mendelssohn
Lift thine eyes to the mountains, whence cometh help.
            Thy help cometh from the Lord,
            the Maker of heaven and earth.
      He hath said, thy foot shall not be moved,
             thy Keeper will never slumber.

       The Ascension         Philip Moore
     Lift up your heads, great gates, and sing,
         Now glory comes and glory’s king;
         Now by your high all golden way
      The fairer heaven comes home today.
           Hark! Now the gates are ope,
   And hear the tune of each triumphant sphere;
           Where every angel as he sings
      Keeps time with his applauding wings,
     And make heaven’s loftiest roof rebound
          The echoes of the noble sound.

                    PROCESSIONAL HYMN / CANTO DE ENTRADA
1. Crown him with many crowns, 3. Crown him the Lord of life,
   the Lamb upon the throne; who triumphed o’er the grave,
   Hark! How the heav’nly anthem drowns and rose victorious in the strife
   all music but its own.                                for those he came to save;
   awake, my soul, and sing his glories now we sing
   to Christ, who set us free, who died, and rose on high,
   and hail him as your heav’nly King who died, eternal life to bring,
   Through all eternity. and lives that death may die.

A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians.
Brothers and sisters: May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of
him. May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his
inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might,
which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, far above every principality, authority, power,
and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as
head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.
The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

1. This is my prayer, O God of all the nations, 2. My country’s skies are bluer than the ocean,
   A prayer of peace for lands afar and mine.               And sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine;
   This is my home, the country where my heart is; But other lands have sunlight, too, and clover,
   Here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine; And skies are everywhere as blue as mine.
   But other hearts in other lands are beating O hear my prayer, thou God of all the nations,
   With hopes and dreams as true and high as mine. A prayer of peace for their land and for mine.

                                  R. Faith, hope and love, God gives us;
                                     Faith, hope and love, God gives us;
                                     Faith, hope and love, the greatest is love, love, love.

1. One can move mountains with faith everlasting. 2. Love is not selfish, conceited or jealous.
   But without love it’s nothing, nothing. Its patience and kindness are forever.
   One may resign to abandon possessions, Love is eternal, but knowledge and talents
   But without love it does nothing, nothing. Are fleeting, love is forever.
