PAINTING with Rebecca Prince
For 6-16 year olds, 9.45am – 11.15 am Sunday 18th July
Numbers limited to 12. Term Three Fridays 4-5.30pm OR Saturday
afternoons 1.30pm- 3.00pm Booking – Ink Pot Arts
Rebecca’s watercolour classes in Term Three will cover basic watercolour
techniques and experimentation with different effects, textures and mark
making. Each week a different theme will be used for the subject matter
such as animals, native plants and landscapes. Creative imagination will be
encouraged and students will be allowed to have some input into the subject matter throughout the term.
During class students’ individual ideas and styles will also be nurtured.

Rebecca is an Adelaide Hills artist who has been teaching Visual Art classes to children
and adults in the hills community for 8 years. She specialises in watercolours, drawing
and ceramics. Rebecca’s approach to teaching and art making involves
experimentation, problem solving and overcoming perfectionism. She believes Art
making should be focussed on enjoyment of the process than an obsession with end
results and encourages her students to express themselves through exploration.

SINGING FOR FUN with Lynn Bonython
For Adults, 11.30am – 12.30pm Sunday 18th July
Term Three Workshops Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm Nairne Soldiers
Memorial Hall
Are you one of those people who sing when no-one’s listening? Love
to sing in the shower? Croon a tune in the car? Come and join with
others who like to sing for the sheer joy of it! Lynn will lead you
through popular songs ranging from the 50s and 60s (think Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys) to
the music of ABBA; through traditional melodies (Green Grow the Rushes Oh), to ballads, songs from the
musicals and right through to belt-it-out tunes like I will Survive and Stand By Me. Along the way there will be
singing tips and techniques, but the emphasis will be on fun, laughter and having a good old sing!

Lynn has been sharing the joy of singing with both adults and children since the 1980s
in formal choirs and informal singing groups, both as a leader and as a participant. She
has conducted musicals for the Murray Bridge Players and Singers, and has appeared in
musical theatre productions with Stirling Players and Therry Dramatic Society. She loves
the way that music and singing can connect people of all ages.
