TERM THREE 2021 DRAMA TUCK EVERLASTING MUSICAL THEATRE PROJECT with Daniel Hamilton 8 - 18 years, Thursdays 5-7pm 10 Sessions starting Thursday 22nd July 2021 Auditions Sun 1st August 2021 To register/info contact Jo-anne via quill@inkpot.com.au or phone 0429673327 Cost: $220 + $15 membership for newcomers Venue: Mount Barker Town Hall 34-38 Gawler Street Term Bookings: Booking – Ink Pot Arts By popular demand, Ink Pot Arts is hosting a fabulous new Musical Theatre Project which will have you singing, dancing and acting in no time - led by the multi-talented performing artist Daniel Hamilton. Auditions for solo and ensemble roles will take place Sunday 1st August 2021, at Ink Pot’s Hub upstairs in the Mt Barker Town Hall. The action-packed rehearsals will develop your performance and ensemble skills while building towards performances during the Adelaide Fringe 2022. Extra rehearsals will take place in a January 2022 intensive. Daniel is a born and bred South Australian, whose work has taken him across Australia. Studying at the Queensland Conservatorium, Daniel received his Bachelors in 2018, before touring Australia with Meerkat Productions, a leading TIE production company, something that had driven Daniels support for children’s access to Musical Theatre. He is a proud supporter of new Australian work, having been a part of workshops for Fangirls (Belvoir/QTC), Genesis by William Hinz, and Saltwater by Susanne Porter. He is a proud MEAA member. Led by Sally Hardy, Term Three 2021 sees the group diving into an exciting new theatre project Flight Path – an intergenerational journey - bringing together the Affinity cast with Ink Pot’s Acting for Fun members, which will be performed November 2021. TERM THREE 2021 DRAMA ACTING for FUN for Over 55s with Sally Hardy Performing Group 9.30-11.00am 10 sessions starting Wednesday 21st July Cost: $50 for the term + $15 annual membership for newcomers Venue: Mount Barker Town Hall 34-38 Gawler Street Term Bookings: Booking – Ink Pot Arts Just as the name suggests, these sessions led by award-winning playwright and director Sally Hardy are about experiencing the joy of creativity and unleashing the actor within. Emphasis is on developing confidence, silencing the inner critic and rediscovering the pleasure of play. Term Three 2021 sees the group diving into an exciting new theatre project Flight Path – an intergenerational journey - bringing together the Affinity cast with Ink Pot’s Acting for Fun members, which will be performed November 2021. Sally is a playwright, author and producer whose work has won awards both nationally and internationally. An AWGIE winning playwright, her work has featured in the DreamBIG Children’s Festival, the Come Out Children’s Festival, the World Festival of Children’s Theatre, the Trinity College London International Festival of Playwriting and Performance, and the Adelaide & Melbourne Fringe Festivals. This is Sally’s fourth theatre project with Ink Pot Arts Inc. FLOURISH Creative Program for Wellbeing BUBBLE & SQUEAK with Jen Lush For 3-5 year olds & their carers, Fridays 10-10.40am 10 sessions starting Friday 23rd July Proudly enabled by the SERF grant for bushfire affected families Come & Try the first Friday of the Term Venue: Hills Family Church, 132 Princes Highway, Nairne Term Bookings: Booking – Ink Pot Arts This FREE workshop for fire-affected families will provide some FUN with imaginative games, songs and creative movement which will leave you uplifted and smiling . Also open to the general public, with the term fee being $120 + $15 membership for newcomers. Jen Lush is a multi-disciplinary performing artist and educator who is passionate about delivering high quality arts experiences to people of all ages. With a background in music, dance, and theatre, that has taken Jen across the country and overseas performing and teaching, she is dedicated to making and communicating through the creative arts.

Check out our website for Bookings PAINTING with Rebecca Prince For 6-16 year olds, 9.45am – 11.15 am Sunday 18th July Numbers limited to 12. Term Three Fridays 4-5.30pm OR Saturday afternoons 1.30pm- 3.00pm Booking – Ink Pot Arts Rebecca’s watercolour classes in Term Three will cover basic watercolour techniques and experimentation with different effects, textures and mark making. Each week a different theme will be used for the subject matter such as animals, native plants and landscapes. Creative imagination will be encouraged and students will be allowed to have some input into the subject matter throughout the term. During class students’ individual ideas and styles will also be nurtured. Rebecca is an Adelaide Hills artist who has been teaching Visual Art classes to children and adults in the hills community for 8 years. She specialises in watercolours, drawing and ceramics. Rebecca’s approach to teaching and art making involves experimentation, problem solving and overcoming perfectionism. She believes Art making should be focussed on enjoyment of the process than an obsession with end results and encourages her students to express themselves through exploration. SINGING FOR FUN with Lynn Bonython For Adults, 11.30am – 12.30pm Sunday 18th July Term Three Workshops Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm Nairne Soldiers Memorial Hall Are you one of those people who sing when no-one’s listening? Love to sing in the shower? Croon a tune in the car? Come and join with others who like to sing for the sheer joy of it! Lynn will lead you through popular songs ranging from the 50s and 60s (think Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys) to the music of ABBA; through traditional melodies (Green Grow the Rushes Oh), to ballads, songs from the musicals and right through to belt-it-out tunes like I will Survive and Stand By Me. Along the way there will be singing tips and techniques, but the emphasis will be on fun, laughter and having a good old sing! Lynn has been sharing the joy of singing with both adults and children since the 1980s in formal choirs and informal singing groups, both as a leader and as a participant. She has conducted musicals for the Murray Bridge Players and Singers, and has appeared in musical theatre productions with Stirling Players and Therry Dramatic Society. Nathan Douglas Day’s initiative aims to provide a welcoming place to come together and share creative writing projects (poetry, stories etc), give and receive feedback, discover new styles and techniques, and be a motivating & encouraging space. Do you have diverse writing interests? No problem, this session offers discussion from many different viewpoints. Don’t know where to start? Learn some tips from fellow adventurers! Nathan Douglas Day is a hills-based published poet (Dip Arts, Creative Writing, Tabor Adelaide) who has diverse artistic pursuits including music, songwriting, woodwork and creative writing. He aims to surprise his readers into laughter through his poetry, focusing more on nonsensical/dreamlike themes to break down what is expected from poetry and poets, but is equally at home with the honing of serious creative expression. TERM THREE 2021 MUSIC & SINGING AHUG (Adelaide Hills Ukulele Group) Everyone can do this! Applying a step-by-step approach, Max will develop your ukulele playing & general musicality. Beginners I introduces strumming rhythms, the basic chords & learning to play songs in a group setting. Beginners II will introduce music theory & continue to build on the foundations provided in the first module. Informal performance opportunities will be offered as confidence grows . It will teach you how to integrate barre chords into your songs, extending your musical repertoire. The group gets a huge amount of enjoyment from performing regularly in the community & we warmly welcome newcomers! Max Tulysewski is an Adelaide-based musician, composer, producer & teacher. He first began experimenting with the ukulele in 2011 & has brought it with him into a variety of different musical situations both on stage & in the studio. He is a highly skilled and much-appreciated teacher of uke – come along and get inspired!
