EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Royalton Riviera Cancun is a modern luxury resort in the popular Riviera Maya. Vacation destination. This next-generation all-inclusive hotel offers discerning travelers a family- friendly vacation experience that captivates guests of all ages from morning to night. Being aware of how important the environment is to our business, we contribute to the construction of a Sustainable future, following our Mangement Plan for Sustainability, we focus on the management of all resources in a way that satisfies all economic needs, social and aesthetic while respecting cultural integrity, essential ecological processes, biological diversity and life Support systems. SUSTAINABILITY POLICY At Royalton Luxury Resorts (RLR) we are committed to Sustainable Development through the operation of our hotels and resorts, across each of the destinations where we operate, in a responsible manner and in accordance with the following principles: •Ensure hotels and resorts are compliant with applicable environmental legislation and regulations in each country we operate. •Respect and conserve the environment through the implementation of best environmental practices and protection of the local flora and fauna. •Ensure the correct management and final disposal of waste through recycling and reuse. •Promote conservation activities such as beach cleanups, mangrove cleanups and protection of wildlife (where applicable). •Implement awareness campaigns to ensure the protection of resources through staff training. •Preserve national and cultural identity through respect for traditions, strengthening the sense of national pride and sharing its value abroad. •Respect the local community by fostering a support system and building relationships to assist them as much as possible. •Work continuously to advance RLR’s internal management and sustainable initiatives to improve environmental performance. •Promote the involvement of stakeholders such as employees, guests, suppliers and suppliers in RLR’s sustainable culture, communicating the best practices implemented. WASTE MANAGEMENT At Royalton Riviera Cancun we focus daily on the proper classification of Urban Solid Waste, facilitating the separation of feasible waste to recycle from non-recoverable waste.
