PUBLICATION NP SILK WAY RALLY organizes from 1 to 11 July the Silk Way Rally, 2nd round of the 2021 FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship under the aegis of the Russian Motorcyclist Federation and the Mongolian Motorcycle Federation. The event will take place in accordance with the FIM Sports Code, Technical, Medical, Anti-Doping and Environment codes and regulations, the FIM World Rally Championship arbitration codes and sports regulations and its Annexes, this supplementary Regulation, and any other final regulations approved by the FIM International Jury. These supplementary regulations cannot contradict the aforementioned FIM codes and regulations and especially the FIM Cross Country rallies World Championship Regulations. Approbation FIM: IMN No(s) 801/03 FMNR Approval: In the event of a discrepancy or conflict between two texts concerning interpretation, the English text prevails. The special approved regulation must be published at least in English on the FIM and the organizer’s websites Any other issues not included in these supplementary schedules or Regulations will be subject to interpretation by the FIM International Jury. All additional provisions not mentioned in this Supplementary Regulations will be announced by bulletins, dated, numbered and signed. These bulletins will be an integral part of the Special Regulations will be displayed on the Official Rally Notice Board. COMPETITORS 8.1 ENTRIES - RIGHTS See 2021 FIM Cross country Rally world Championship Regulations, Article 80.4. The maximum number of motorcycles/SSVs engaged is 80 on the Silk Way Rally. To be registered on the Silk Way Rally 2021, any person of any nationality over the age of 18 must be in possession of the FIM World Cross Country Rally Championship 2021 license (annual or event), issued by his National Federation. All competitors holding an ANNUAL FIM 2021 license must be in possession of an authorization to race abroad from their respective FMNs. For French competitors, the Silk Way Rally will make a global request to the FFM. The names of the Team will be considered for the lists of the participants, results and other official documents. Competitors enter on the Silk Way Rally in full knowledge of the risks that the course of this event can lead him to run. It clears in advance the Organizers, the FMNR and the FIM of any criminal or civil liability in the event of a personal or material accident during the Silk Way Rally 2021. 6 8.2 ENTRIES REQUESTS Competitors will apply for their own online registration via the rally's website: www.silkwayrally.com. All registration procedures are available on the website and from competitors departments. Registration will only be considered upon receipt of the first down payment, according to the payment schedule. Compliance with deadlines is imperative, whether it is payments or information and/or documents to be passed on to the organization. The Organizer is not liable for any administrative complications if the required information has not been provided on time. During the administrative checks, each participant will have to sign a "contract of engagement" by which he or she undertakes to: - Comply with these regulations, - Respect the laws in force in the countries crossed by the rally: Russian Federation, Mongolia - Respect the environment and dispose of any waste in the areas provided for this use, - Ensure the accuracy of the information transmitted on machines and runners, - Present your machine at any time in accordance with the regulations, - Be in possession of all necessary administrative documents and be solely responsible for their validity. By signing the "contract of engagement", the driver, as well as all members of his team, submit themselves to the sole sports jurisdictions recognized by the International Sporting Code, as well as to the provisions of this supplementary, technical, assistance Regulations and their appendices, as well as to the decisions of the Race Director and the Jury. Each participant is aware of the responsibilities that could result from any breach of these rules. To benefit from the reduced tariff, competitors will have to make their application for entry and pay the first down payment of 30%, no later than April 15, 2021. From 16 April 2021, the standard tariff will be applied until the closing of the entries. Limited category, reserved for the first 15 riders registered. 9 8.6 TRANSPORT The meeting place for the participants of the Rally is set in OMSK, Russia. The transport of participants, vehicles and equipment is free but can be managed by the SILK WAY RALLY organization. Motorcycles, quads, SSVs and assistance vehicles (EXCEPT TRUCKS) can be transported by the organization as part of the "turnkey transport" service. Motorcycles, quads, and SSVs loaded in assistance vehicles, can take part to the convoy set up by the organization of the SILK WAY RALLY from Europe (Travemunde) to reach the start in OMSK and come back from the arrival. Information about transport are available from the competitors’ department and on the website: https://silkwayrally.com/en/competitors/transport/ 8.7 PAYMENTS Pre-entries are nominal and non-refundable. The organization will only accept one payer per vehicle per Team. Payment must be made exclusively by bank transfer (transfer fees at the expense of the payer) at the bank details below. Please include the Team name and file number as a reference for your transfer with the words "Silk Way Rally 2021 registration" Any non-payment will result in a ban on taking part in the Silk Way Rally for the next 5 years. Packages and refund requests must be expressed by Recommended Letter with Accused of Reception only, in order to avoid any challenge. The recommended letter must be sent to the French or Russian Competitor Service (address available on request, depending on the nationality of the competitor) and be accompanied by a copy of the license. The refund will take place no later than November 30, 2021. In the event of a serious problem justified by medical advice (original of the document), the partial reimbursement of the sums paid can only be made on request, by letter recommended with acknowledgement For any cancellation of the commitment request, the instalments paid will be refunded as follows: - In the event of cancellation before June1, 2021 - the amount of the deposit paid will be withheld. - In case of cancellation after June 1, 2021 - 100% of the sums paid will be withheld Due to the public health situation resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, and its unpredictable evolution, mandatory measures or restrictions may be established by the authorities of the countries crossed that impose changes to this regulation. Any changes, resulting from the above, will be communicated to competitors through a Bulletin or Communication of the Organizer. SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS BIKE QUAD SILK WAY RALLY 2021
10 8.9 CANCELLATION OR POSTPONMENT OF THE EVENT In the event that the start of the Rally could not take place, for any reason, and in particular for the following non- limiting reasons: non-obtaining and/or withdrawal of federal approvals, permits for passage, political disturbances in any of the countries crossed making it impossible to maintain the Rally, financial defection making it impossible to organize the rally technically and sportingly, problems boarding or disembarking and transporting equipment and competitors, pandemic, etc. the Race Organizer would only be indebted to the competitors. The amounts collected by the Race Organizer will be refunded by November 30, 2021. In case the start of the Rally is delayed, the Race Organizer will immediately inform each competitor by letter recommended with A.R. of the new race schedule. Therefore, the competitors, without being able to participate in the race, by this change of date, will have a maximum of eight (8) free days, from the receipt of the recommended letter with A.R., to request by letter recommended the reimbursement of their commitment rights, package paid to the Race Organizer. This refund will be issued to them by November 30, 2021. In all cases, participants will not be entitled to any other compensation of any kind 9. SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF THE CROSSED COUNTRIES Nature of fuel (Article 80.9): in progress Passport: passport must be valid until 31/03/2022, with a minimum of 2 x 2 consecutive blank pages, for visas (for each country crossed, if necessary) Visas: depending on nationalities, a visa may be required for Russia and Mongolia Each participant is required to inquire about the need to obtain a visa, depending on their nationality and will therefore be fully responsible for obtaining their visas. The information needed to obtain the visas will be communicated to the participants on the rally's website. Silk Way Rally Competitors Service is available to inform you and send you invitations to the competition if necessary Mandatory vaccines: Covid-19 vaccine is highly recommended Vehicle registration: o All machines must be registered and have a valid registration certificate. o Temporary registrations will be prohibited. All compliant registrations are allowed in Russia and Mongolia. It is the sole responsibility of the competitor and registered assistants to verify and prove to the organization that their vehicle is well insured in Russia. The specific insurance for Mongolia will be issued by the organizer to administrative verification. Under no circumstances can the organization of the Silk Way Rally be questioned and prosecuted if a machine/vehicle is not in compliance with the regulations of the countries crossed. Customs formalities: An ATA carnet is mandatory for all vehicles following the convoy to make the exit and entry from Europe. The entry and exit of the territory of the Russian Federation and the entry and exit of Mongolia, before, during and after the race will be through special procedures put in place by the organization with the authorities of the countries crossed. Dress code: No object 10. IDENTIFICATION 11.1 ACCESS TO THE RALLY Access to the rally is reserved exclusively for people with Silk Way Rally 2021 identification bracelets (competitors, assistance, organizer, press, VIP and officially registered vehicles). Any infringement will result in a sanction at the discretion of the Jury and/or the Organizing Committee, which may be financial and/or may go as far as excluding the competitor and the Team. 11.2 BRACELET An identification bracelet included in the entry will be given to each participant of the Silk Way Rally 2021 during the administrative checks. The organization’s control of this participant identification sign will be systematic at each meal, at each point and area of assistance and at the entrance to the awards ceremony. The presentation of the bracelet by the participant is mandatory at each request of the organizer or his representative. An identification bracelet, with the emergency number, the call number of the PC Course, will allow the identification of riders. If this bracelet deteriorates, the person will have to ask the Competitor Service for another one in exchange for the one that has been damaged. 11.3 MARKING OF MACHINES See FIM 2021 Cross Country Rally World Championship Regulations Art :80.7.5 Identification 12. ADVERTISING See FIM 2021 Cross Country Rally World Championship Regulations Art 80.7.6 Riders can freely advertise their machines as long as this one: - Is authorized by FIM regulations and the laws of countries crossed - Is not contrary to public decency and local customs - Does not encroach on the number plate areas and requirements. The company's mandatory official advertising plates will be provided during the administrative checks. (see diagram). 12 a) Competitors will be able to make their stickers for their Machine/Vehicle, by first requesting the digital file from the SILK WAY RALLY Competitors Service, which will provide them with the official list of registrants after validation. b) The pilot will have to reserve on his machine the spaces necessary to affix these plates and panels. If the machine does not ideally present the necessary surfaces, it will be up to the pilot to plan them, as any changes to the stickers are prohibited before going to the technical verifications. No waivers will be granted. c) If compulsory advertising is refused, the entry fees will be increased by 60% on the rate in force on the date of receipt of the payment. d) These mandatory markings will be distributed by the organization during administrative checks. They must be present on the machine as distributed, throughout the duration of the Rally. The organization will check these markings every day and in the case of the absence of one of them, penalties can be applied to the participant (competitor, assistance). Penalties include: Technical checks: refuse to start At each stage start: 1st offence: Financial penalty representing 60% of the machine's entry fees. The pilot will have to pay his financial penalty to start the next day's stage. The Competitor Relations Officer will provide competitors with replacement plates and stickers in the event of loss or deterioration for the duration of the rally. The pilot or assistant will have to come and ask for them. 13. STARTING ORDER See FIM 2021 Cross Country Rally World Championship Regulations, art. 80.17 The categories 1 and 2 will be mixed at the start. 13.1 INTERVAL BETWEEN THE LAST BIKE AND THE FIRST CAR For all stages a minimum of 1 hour will be respected between the ideal starting time of the last bike and the first car. Under no circumstances will a competitor in the motorcycle or quad class be able to start once the first car in the race is part of it. 13.2 STARTING ORDER OF THE LAST STAGE Competitors will start in the general classification on the evening of Stage 9. 13 14. ROAD BOOK AND NAVIGATION in progress 14.1 SPECIFIC ASSISTANCE AREAS IN SPECIAL STAGES In progress 15. FUEL / AUTONOMY/ TYRES 15.1 AUTONOMY a) Motorcycles, Quads and SSV must have a minimum range allowing 250kms to cover of selective sector.For security reasons, an additional 10% autonomy is required. Each rider is responsible for calculating his autonomy, he could not in any way turn against the Organization if his machine could not cover the minimum distances regardless of the nature of the terrain. b) The fuel supply during special stages is organized by the organization in defined areas (see Art. 15.2). c) For connections, The Essence stations authorized for refueling are listed in the Road Book. The special petrol package is included in the commitment fees. 15.2 FUEL See the rules of the 2021 FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship, art 80.9 a) The Organization will make unleaded fuel available to competitors. A purchase order will be available on the Silk Way website. b) The use of organic fuel will be accepted on declaration, after acceptance by the Organizing Committee, but it is not provided by the organization. Applications must be made by June 1, 2021. c) Fuel supply is only permitted: • At fuel outlets at local stations on the liaison, indicated in the Road Book. • At the distribution points set up by the organization on the selective section during a 15-minutes neutralization. • At distribution points set up by the organization on routes where there would be no gas stations. • At the bivouac, refueling must take place in the area dedicated to refueling. d) The responsibility for refueling rests with the pilot. The engine must be shut down during the entire refueling operation. e) Failure to comply with these clauses will result in penalties up to exclusion. 15.3 TIRES a) Only one type of tyre will be allowed per driver for the entire rally. b) They will be required to declare during the technical checks the brand and model of the rear tyre used during the duration of the rally. All these tyres will be marked during the pre-race technical scrutineering. c) The maximum number of rear tyres allowed for the duration of the rally is 1 rear tyre per stage except at the marathon stage where the change of tyres will be prohibited. d) 9 tyres will therefore be accepted for the 2021 Silk Way Rally. Only one tyre will be accepted for the entire stage. Checks will be carried out at the Start of the stages, DSS, ASS and Stage Finish. SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS BIKE QUAD SILK WAY RALLY 2021
14 16. CIRCULATION 16.1 GENERAL See the rules of the 2021 FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship. The machines must comply with the national legal requirements for road traffic in the country in which the machine is registered, as well as the other standards specified in this regulation. Equipment in all categories must be in full compliance with the International Traffic Convention. During the race, the drivers will have to strictly observe the Road Code of the country crossed. In all cases, competitors will have to adapt their driving to the conditions of the terrain that frequently evolves and the greatest attention will always be needed, regardless of the type of course (selective, liaisons, off-road). In the event of an accident with a third party in a liaison area, involving personal or material damage, the crew must immediately notify the PC Course and as soon as possible, so that the latter can send the appropriate means of intervention as soon as possible. The pilot should also contact the organization's security services, who will explain how to proceed: Head of Security, Sergei Talantsev (speaking English): 7(937) 586-68-20 16.2 SPEED LIMITS a) For Competitors The speed of passage of competitors in villages and areas defined as "speed control zones" crossed in both the road sections and the Special will be limited to 30 km/h, 50 km/h, 90 km/h, depending on the stages, or lower if indicated on local traffic signs. On the road book, all areas considered dangerous to competitors or to the local population will be listed. The speed checks will be carried out by GPS. The maximum speed on special stages for category 2-group 3 (quads) and category 3 (ssv) is 130 km/h b) Penalties for speeding - Speed control zones See the rules of the 2021 FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship Art 80.16 17. MARATHON STAGE Duration and working conditions in the Marathon Work Park. See rules of the 2021 FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship, art 80.17.7 Competitors are allowed to work on their motorcycle/SSV as soon as they enter the Marathon Assistance Park: 1) For Category 1 competitors, the working time is set at 30 minutes. No help between competitors is allowed. 2) For Category 2 competitors, the working time is set at 60 minutes. Competitors can only use the tools and materials they have taken with them or those of another competitor chain, filter, etc.). The exchange of parts between competitors is allowed. If a competitor stays longer than his allotted time, but at most 30 minutes, he will be penalized one hour. After these thirty minutes, he must leave the Marathon Assistance Park. 18. Vehicles taking part in the convoy are also covered from the departure of Travemünde to the return to Travemünde In the event of an accident, the competitor or his representative must make a written statement, no later than 24 hours, to the race director or the competitors relations officers, mentioning the circumstances of the accident and the names and addresses of the witnesses. This insurance contract does not concern the theft of vehicles, spare parts, etc. In the event of a theft occurring in the country of the Rally, the responsibility of the Organizer cannot be sought under any circumstances. This contract does not guarantee: Responsibility to third parties of any driver who is not licensed or licensed or insurance compliant with this regulation. The driver's responsibility to another competitor involved in the Rally The competitor, or any person regularly registered, enters the Silk Way Rally 2021 in full knowledge of the risks that the course of this event can lead him to run. It clears the Organizers and Officials in advance of any criminal or civil liability in the event of a personal or material accident during the Silk Way Rally 2021. The participant is solely responsible for the validity of the various administrative documents required to participate in the Silk Way Rally 2021 and the validity of the driver's license, the registration certificate and the vehicle insurance. The Organizing Committee disclaims any responsibility for the consequences of violations of the laws, regulations and orders of the countries crossed, committed by competitors or their assistance and which will have to be borne exclusively by them. 18.2 SANITARY REPATRIATION The organization has taken out health repatriation insurance from: DETAILS TBA Beneficiairies Competitors, members of the organization, its officials, its service providers and their attendants, journalists, organizer guests, partners and anyone participating in a VIP trip organized by Silk Way Rally, officials. In case of bodily injury, the medical team of the rally triggers and organizes the transport of the beneficiary from the accident site to the bivouac of the rally or to the appropriate medical unit closest to the country of the event, with the ground and/or air means of the rally. It decides solely based on medical interest and compliance with existing health regulations. The contract complies with the FIM International Sports Code. 18.3 INDIVIDUAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE All competitors must provide the organizer with an individual accident, death and disability insurance certificate covering them for the minimums mentioned in the FIM code, included or not in their sports license. They must check with their Federation to find out what guarantees are granted by their competitor sports license. It is strongly recommended that they take out additional insurance from the insurer of their choice. 19. ADMINISTRATIVE OBLIGATIONS 19.1 EACH COMPETITOR The administrative and technical checks will take place from Tuesday 30 June, 8am to Wednesday 1 July, 2.00pm in OMSK. The rider and the registered service crew will all have to report to the administrative checks. Each competitor will receive a convocation specifying the exact day and time at which they will be required to present their machine to the Stewards and Controllers responsible for carrying out these technical checks. The time of convocation corresponds to the time of entry of the machine to the waiting park. A CH will be positioned at the entrance to the waiting park. Any delay of more than 30 minutes at the CH, compared to the scheduled time for the competitor, will result in a penalty of 100 euros. All participants (race, assistance, press, VIP, etc.) will have to sign a "contract of engagement" at the administrative checks. SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS BIKE QUAD SILK WAY RALLY 2021
16 19.2 EVERY MOTORCYCLE/SSV Upon exiting the administrative checks, riders will receive an hour of convocation to present themselves for technical checks. As soon as they leave the administrative checks, they will have to go directly to the technical checks. Any delay of more than 30 minutes at CH will result in a penalty of 100 euros. Any machine that appears to be non-compliant or not adapted to the standards of the test during the technical checks could be either changed group or refused at the start (jury decision). In the latter case, the entry fees will remain vested in the organization. At the end of the technical checks, the machines will be placed in a closed park. At the final control of the technical checks, the riders will receive a timecard with a target time to present themselves at the closed park. They will have to go there directly after exiting of the technical checks. Any delay of more than 30 minutes at CH will result in a penalty of 100 euros. 19.3 ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS TO PRESENT BY THE RIDER The 2021 sports license: FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship, annual (Rally GP or Rally 2) or one Event (Rally2). The motorcycle driver's license corresponding to the cylinder capacity of the machine registered. The Passport valid until 30/03/2022 with the visas of the countries crossed by the rally. The registration certificate of the machine engaged (must be perfectly in line with the machine presented). The insurance of the machine engaged. The international driver's license If the machine documents are not in the driver's name, the title and permission from the owner for the loan of the machine, to the hired driver. Certificate of first aid training Competitors are solely responsible for the validity of the administrative documents required to participate in the Silk Way Rally 2021. Under no circumstances will they be able to hold the organization responsible if these documents are not valid. 19.4 TECHNICAL VERIFICATIONS The pilot registered and who has passed the Administrative Checks will have to report to the technical checks with: His machine: • Its FIM-approved helmet (with the driver's name and blood type) and possibly with a back-up helmet • The compulsory Airbag jacket (see list attached) and Section 80.29.1 of FIM Regulation 2021 • The neck collar is not compatible with the airbag and is therefore prohibited. • Each Pilot is required to present his machine to the technical checks equipped with the following: • Stickers: competitor number and advertising will need to be installed. • The supports of the security and navigation systems will have to be completed. • The power required for safety and navigation systems will have to be functional 19.5 PARK FERME All verified machines will be placed in a park fermé: After the technical checks and until the podium start, July 1, 2021, in Omsk At the end of the podium and until the start of the first stage on July 2, 2021 in Omsk. During the final checks at the finish of the rally, on July 11, 2021 in Ulaanbaatar, before the passage on the finish podium. During the marathon stage. 20. Riders are required to attend the ceremony in race suit. The awards ceremony will take place on July 11, 2021, on the finish podium in Ulaanbaatar. Drivers will have to take the podium in race gear. Drivers who do not show up for the prize distribution lose their rights to the prizes and awards awarded to them without changing the classification. 21. MANDATORY TRAINING Each pilot will be required to complete OBLIGATORY training an course on safety and navigation equipment: GPS, Sentinel and Iritrack. Each rider is required to attend. Any absence will be penalized with a fine of 500 euros, which must be paid before the start of the rally. The rental of mandatory safety and navigation equipment is included in the entry fees. Only the fittings, fastening and equipment are the responsibility of the competitors. 21.1 GPS Motorcycle/quad riders will be equipped with ERTF's UNIK II GPS system. This latest generation of GPS 2 in 1 integrates the Sentinel function into the GPS. All the machines in the rally will have to be equipped with this system to pass the technical checks. This system must be in operation during each stage. The start-up of the equipment is the responsibility of the competitor. Any finding of non-functioning by the rider will result in a penalty of one hour per observation. The rental of the GPS UNIK II is included in the entry fees but competitors must order the equipment from the supplier. Any competitor caught up with another (auto-motorcycle-truck-SSV) will have to do what is necessary to pull over and be overtaken. Once a competitor has received 3 overtaking requests from a single competitor in a period of 45 seconds or less, within 15 seconds of the third overtaking request, they will have to make every effort to facilitate the overtaking of the competitor who made the requests (if the terrain allows). Competitors who have not allowed the competitor to miss the overtaking requests within 15 seconds of the third overtaking request will be subject to the following penalties: 1st offence: 3 minutes 2nd offence: 7 minutes 3rd offence: 10 minutes Beyond 3 offences: penalty up to disqualification, at the discretion of the Jury. In the event of a repeat offence, this offence will be subject to sanctions, up̀ to disqualification, at the discretion of the FIM International Jury. 18 Depending on the circumstances, the Jury may apply other penalties (in time or financial), including to the highest ranked rider of the offending driver's team. In the event of a dispute, the device's data is unloaded, on written request to the Race Director, 30 minutes at the latest after notification of the infringement 21.3 TRACKING SYSTEM Each competitor must be equipped with the satellite tracking system. The system selected for the Silk Way Rally 2021 is the MARLINK Iritrack V3 Tracking System. All machines registered in race in the rally will have to be equipped with this system in order to pass the technical checks. The order of this equipment is automatic with the registration, only the mounting accessories and fixation are to order from the supplier and are the responsibility of the competitors. Its order is automatic. 22. PENALTIES See the rules of the 2021 FIM World Cross Country Rally Championship art 80.24 A Fixed Penalty (PF): is applied for exceeding the maximum time allowed on a selective sector, or non-compliance with sports rules. Its value is written on the timing and time card. A Sporting Penalty (PS): is applied in case of non-compliance with a sports rule to avoid disqualification. Its value is written on the timing and time card. 23. SAFETY PLAN In addition to the safety systems positioned on each of the competitors' machines and the real-time tracking by the PC Course, here are the means deployed in the field throughout the duration of the rally. 23.1 AIR ASSETS 3 helicopters entirely dedicated to medical aid 2 helicopters (Opening and Race Direction) with a doctor on board. 23.2 EARTHLY MEANS 4 Type A rapid response vehicles: referred to as "Tango". 4 Type C (medical intervention) vehicles called "Ambulance" 1 Medical PC installed on each bivouac. 23.3 COMPOSITION OF THE MEDICAL TEAM This team of medical professionals consists of 26 people: Emergency doctors: 9 Surgeon: 1 Resuscitator anesthesiologist: 2 Nurses: 13 Physiotherapist: 1 Divided as follows: Helicopters: 8 people Tangos:8 people Bivouac: 6 people - 3 logistics assistant PC Course: 1 medical regulator Depending on the specificity of the Silk Way Rally 2021 stages, the medical means will be distributed: • At the Medical PC on each bivouac. 19 • From each selective sector. • At the arrival of each selective sector. • On the whole selective sector with helicopters and Tangos. 23.4 CLOSURE OF THE TRACK a) A “sweeper vehicle” from the organization will load on board riders whose machines are broken or out of use. It will also load, as far as available space, motorcycles or quads that have broken down or out of use. b) Under no circumstances will the organization (the “sweeper vehicle” or any other means of the organization) be obliged to recover the machines that would be outside the stage route, as notified on the road book. c) The “sweeper vehicle” will unload the machines at the Bivouac or any other location that the organization has deemed most suitable for the recovery of the machine by the pilot or its assistance. d) In desert areas, it is impossible to predict that the “sweeper vehicle” will pass to the exact spot where a machine has failed, it is up to the competitor to report its presence using the tracking system and on-board survival equipment. Sweeper trucks will only recover broken or damaged machines if they are on the Road Book route. If the sweeper truck cannot access the position of the broken down or damaged machine, the competitor will then be responsible for the recovery of its machine on the track. The team will be able to obtain the necessary information to recover its machine from the competing service. e) No appeal can be taken against the organization in this regard. f) Getting on board of a sweeper truck or leaving the broken machine by it will result in the disqualification of the rider. g) Riders who abandon their machine, do so under their own full responsibility. No action on the consequences of stealing their machine can be filed against the organization. h) Riders who refuse to take a seat in the sweeper vehicle do so under their own full responsibility and will have to sign a discharge presented to them by the members of the Organization responsible for the closure of the track. No appeals against the Organization on the consequences of this refusal can be initiated. i) In the event of retirement due to mechanical failure on the course of the special, the driver will have to wait for the sweeper vehicle. j) The driver who has not been able to reach the stage on time or who has been taken care of by a sweeper vehicle but who wishes to start the next stage will have to report to the Race Direction and complete his «re-start application" which will be given to him. Failure to comply with this provision may result in a refusal to start. 24. FIM WAIVERS (FIM-approved) 1. No Category 2 Group 2 on the Silk Way Rally 2021 2. No rest day 3. No super special stage 4. Categories 2 and 3: The Silk Way Rally stages will be covered in full by these two categories and as a result the mileage of some stages will be more than 300 KMS.
