THE FAR SOUTH COAST SHOWJUMPER OF THE YEAR SERIES Incorporating The Keith Gordon Senior Showjumper of the Year Award The Graham Johnson Junior Showjumper of the Year Award Established in 2009 1. Shows eligible for point scoring: The Bega Showjumping Cup, Pambula Show, Candelo Show, EurobodalIa Show - Moruya, Cobargo Show, Far South Coast National Show - Bega, and Bemboka Show. 2. There is NO minimum number of shows that contestants are required to participate at to be eligible to score points. 3. EVERY showjumping event consisting of a Single Horse and Rider entry in every ring will be counted towards the pointscore. 4. For the purpose of the Far South Coast Showjumper of the Year pointscore competition, the Junior definition has followed suit of the EA Junior defini- tion. The Junior definition for this competition will be: • Junior definition: All riders up to and including the calendar year in which they turn 18 (i.e. if a participating rider turns 18 in the year the competition is taking place, they are an eligible junior. If they turned 18 the year before, they are a senior). Points will be awarded to the top three placegetters as follows: 1st = 3 points 2nd = 2 points 3rd = 1 point In the event of equal placings, the horse and rider combinations will take their award placing points (e.g. two in first place take 3 points each and 3rd place takes 1 point). 5. Points will be awarded to the rider and horse combination. An individual horse can contest both the senior and junior category if the owner so wish- es, as this will not affect the pointscore in any way. Contestants must be reminded that the HORSE’S WELFARE must be paramount at all times. 6. Only the TWO (2) BEST PERFORMANCES of a horse & rider combination per day (if applicable), per show will count towards the pointscore. 7. If a junior competes in an OPEN event and places, they still take their points to the junior category pointscore. ~4~
