2 SUMMER INSTITUTE 2022 We’re back! We’re back! I’m not just talking about coming back together virtually, I mean that we are once again able to return to the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, gather in-person, and greet each other with a gesture other than a distant wave. Programming at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons for the Summer of 2022 will be both in-person as well as virtual. For those in our community who are vaccinated, we invite you back to join us for events in the sanctuary. And for those who aren’t, there are still plenty outdoor events that you are welcome to attend, or simply engage on our virtual platform. If you reside at a distance or simply want to enjoy our summer experiences from the comfort of your kitchen, all of our programatic and worship content will be accessible through Zoom. Our Summer Institute has returned, and the programming is better than ever. Pick a class, attend a lecture, watch a movie, enjoy a concert, worship at the Beach, and reenter our sanctuary, and return to a summer in the Hamptons that is filled with transformative Jewish experiences. … and we can’t wait to see you! It’s been more than two years since we have been able to open our doors. I am proud of everything the JCOH board did to ensure our safety. I am proud to say that our staff has risen to the occasion, whether it was working remotely or wearing masks so we could work together. We all came together to ensure that our sacred community would be able to survive a pandemic. We did it, and we did it together. Moving forward, let’s find sacred moments that we can spend together. Let’s find fun moments when we can celebrate and let’s find time to study together. This summer that is all being made possible through our Summer Institute. From Shabbat on the Beach to concerts in the sanctuary, we have put together rich programming and joyous moments to celebrate together.
