Inclusive Program 5-12 yrs. ($146/week) The YMCA is proud to provide an opportunity for everyone to participate in the Day Camp experience regardless of their abilities. You will participate in camps with your own support worker and enjoy crafts, gym sports, cooperative games and more! You will be contacted by a Y Supervisor upon registration to ensure you get the most out of your experience based on your child’s needs. Spaces are available at Millidgeville Community Centre and Forest Glen Community Centre for children with and without funding. Campers can choose to participate in any camp offered at that location. *Online registration is not available for the Inclusive Program. To register, please contact 506-632-6157 for Millidgeville Community Centre and 506-658-2816 Forest Glen Community Centre. Community Centre Program Directory NEW! All Ball 5-7 yrs. ($166/week) Football, soccer, volleyball, basketball and more! If you enjoy playing sports, this is the camp for you! You’ll also enjoy activities such as marble painting, making popcorn balls, obstacle courses with balls and much more! All Sports 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) A fun-filled week of all your favourite sports! You will enjoy soccer, ball hockey, basketball, dodgeball and football as well as some of the Day Camp activities.
Art Attack 1: 5-7 yrs. | 3: 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Get ready for lots of artsy fun with Art Attack! This week will be filled with painting, drawing, sketching, designing and creating. With lots of material to work with, this camp will be filled with opportunities to create and explore different mediums within the art world. Join us for some creative fun in Art Attack! Build it, Move it, Launch it 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Campers will make amazing creations out of Lego, K’Nex, wood and other items. This is the perfect camp for those who love to build big! Work as an individual and/or team to build vehicles, ramps and multi-modal creations. Canadian Ninja Warrior 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Try your hand at becoming a master warrior while learning independence and building self-confidence. You will train on different obstacles with the final Ultimate Canadian Ninja Warrior battle to the top of Mount Midoriyama. NEW! Cave Rave 8 -12 yrs. ($166/week) This is where campers come to hang out and get dirty! Campers will choose daily sports, games and activities that only “me and my buddies” like to do. Finish the week with a gaming afternoon and a tailgate party. NEW! Colour Me Crazy 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Join us as we explore the world of creativity and let our imaginations explode onto canvas and other mediums. Friendships are sure to bloom with colour during this week of fantastical art.
NEW! CSI 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) CSI camp uses investigative techniques and scientific methods to solve the mysteries behind crime scenes. Campers will do evidence collection such as fingerprints, shoe and tire impressions to solve the crimes. NEW! Culinary Creations 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Join your friends in creating tasty creations and artful masterpieces in the same week! The campers will bake, paint and do other art filled projects. Come be creative with us! NEW! Day Trippers (2) 8 -12 yrs. | (3) 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Do you love to travel and meet new people while trying new things? Are you looking to stay happy and busy all week long? Campers will be on the move, participating in all that Saint John has to offer. NEW! Diva’s Den (2) 8 -12 yrs. | (3) 5-12 ($166/week) Time to empower our campers in this week of fun art projects, dancing, music and self expression. During the week campers will bond while doing the things they love together! They will build friendships and memories to last a lifetime. Drop the Puck! (2) 8 -12 yrs. | (3) 5-12 ($166/week) Who says you need ice to play hockey? Leave your skates at home, grab your sneakers and join us for some fun. Your team will face off for the Y Cup!
Edible Engineering 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) “Don’t play with your food” is a phrase of the past. Come join us for a week of science experiments where you can eat the results! Edible slime, tasty towers and much more. These experiments are so much fun, you will eat them up! NEW! Fairies & Gnomes 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Come join the other Fairies and Gnomes this summer for a magical experience like no other. Enjoy building fairy homes and mythical creatures throughout the forest. Game Teaser 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) This camp will have Wheel of Fortune, $100,000 Pyramid, Family Feud, Minute to Win It and some electronic game time as well. Go head-to-head with all your buddies to be crowned the Ultimate Gamer! NEW! Gotta Catch’Em All 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Join us in our travels from Kanto to Kalos regions exploring all the Pokémon that exist today. Spend the week in Pokémon-themed games and activities including creating your own Pokédex entry. Can you catch’em all? NEW! Go Wild Adventure Camp 5-12 yrs. ($146/week) Come join us for the fun and adventures we will have building huts, swimming, exploring the trails and team building sports. It’s an adventure in the wild every week. Grossology 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Everyone likes to get muddy while they play! In Grossology, you will make your own slime and gooey creations to take home. This camp combines outdoor dirty play with creating ooey, gooey masterpieces inside! NEW! Hawaiian Hugabaloo 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Aloha, campers! Learn the Hawaiian dance in your grass skirts and hawaiian shirts that you will create yourself in this tropical camp! NEW! Island Life 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Be transported into the Caribbean world for this Island Life camp. Come hang ten with your fellow campers as we create shell crafts while listening to steal drum music, swimming and enjoying the Island Life.
It’s All About the Bey 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Ready, Set… Let it rip! Come and battle the week away with Beyblade challenges, arena building, Beyblade designing and much more! Just Dance 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) The ultimate in Just-Dancing and moving for the love of the beat. Come play the dance game and learn a recorded dance of your own to play again and again. Come join the party! Junior Adventure 5-7 yrs. ($146/week) Your camper will enjoy traditional camp adventures and age appropriate activities led by our qualified staff. You may enjoy gym games, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, out trips, theme days and more! NEW! Knights & Dragons 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a kid in the ancient world? During this fun and exciting week, campers will construct their own shields, learn courage and, if successful, be knighted at the end of the week.. NEW! Lego My Eggo 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) This camp is designed to give your child hands-on experience building and learning, challenging each individual through their own creativity. We will build structures and have a delicious baking challenge to round out the week. NEW! Lumber Jacks 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) This camp will test your skills, strength and dexterity, concentration through teamwork and fun. We will try the caber toss and the caber balance. This is a totally unique camp experience. NEW! Moovin’ & Groovin’ (2) 8-12 yrs. | (3) 5-12 yrs ($166/week) Do you enjoy moving to different musical styles with your friends? Practice a group dance routine and perform it showing off your love of the beat at the end of the week.
Off the Grid 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Pretend you are stranded on a deserted island with only your wits and your camper friends to rely on. Practice outdoor skills and techniques when you learn to live off the grid. Retro Arcade 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) Calling all gamers to camp! Travel back in time to where it all began and experience the Pacman, Mario, Tetris and Donkey Kong phenomena. Rigabamboo 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Test your survival skills as you learn to interact with nature. Rigabamboo will provide outdoor experiences and team building opportunities! Fort-building, rope tying and more, you will KNOT want to miss out! Safari Adventure 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) During this week of Safari Adventure, we’ll look and explore the ins and outs of what can be found on a safari! Join us for our Safari Adventure and create your own animal, with a unique habitat of its own, a trip to the zoo and much more! “YMCA Camps are safe, friendly, focused on kids’ development, and - very importantly - great fun!”
Senior Adventure 8-12 yrs. ($146/week) A traditional camp designed for older children to explore a vast variety of activities. Campers will be able to explore themes and interest groups that may include arts and crafts, cooperative games, sports, swimming, out trips and much more! NEW! STEAM 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Join us for a week full of exploration through science, technology, engineering, art and math. Sticky Fingers 1: 5-7 yrs. | 3: 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) The ooey, the gooey and the beloved chewy will all be on the recipe cards as you explore the world of baking fine treats. Spend the week baking delicious sweets! Summer Splash 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Cannonball into a week of water fun! Join us for a fun filled week of swimming, water wars, silly water Olympics and much more. Make sure to pack your swim wear and extra clothing every day.
Super Hero 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Are you a hero or a villain? This fun-filled week of challenges and surprises will surely have you moving! Swimming 5-12 yrs. ($176/week) If you love to spend your time at the pool then this camp is for you! Whether you are a great swimmer or a beginner, come enjoy a week of fun and lessons in our pool. NEW! The Great Escape 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) You’ll need all of your wits and skills to escape! Each day campers will be challenged to break out of themed escape rooms. This week will also feature trivia challenges, LEGO maze coding, code creation and invisible ink. NEW! The Mighty Jungle 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) It’s a week of building huts, cooking outdoors and heading to the woods for adventures and capture the flag. Ultimate Building Challenge 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Are you always thinking about how buildings are put together? Come check out our Ultimate Building Camp where you’ll use LEGO to build towers, towns and let your imagination soar. Campers will enjoy themed challenges, both individual and team based including space, vehicles and ramps. Ultimate Challenge 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Your skills and team spirit will be put to the test! Come one, come all, as we battle it out over competitions, challenges and races. NEW! Y Champion Cheer 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) This fun and exciting camp will teach the importance of confidence, technique and safety when it comes to showing your Y spirit and cheering on your favourite campers during Y Value Bead ceremonies!
Y Comic Con 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Explore your imagination and bring it to life in a comic book that only you can create. This camp will dive into the design of characters, plots, graphics and storyboards. Bring your world to life in your own comic book! NEW! Y’s Got Talent 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) We are looking for campers with a special talent that they would like to explore and perform. The wackier the better in this fun-filled camp of amateur antics. NEW! Y Master Chef 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) Do you have what it takes to be a true Master Chef? Join us for the ultimate cooking experience: plan your meals, shop for ingredients and create full meals. If you are looking to expand your practical skills and independence, this hands-on camp is perfect for you! NEW! Y’Mazing Race 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Campers will divide into teams and race every day to pit stops. Campers will do challenges to move on, but watch out for road blocks, fast forwards and detours! NEW! Y Project Runway 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) Do you have a flair for couture? We will be exploring and creating during the first of the week, ending in a fashion show for the campers to walk the runway in their creations. NEW! Y Silly Science 8-12 yrs. ($166/week) Spend the week making fun concoctions, like slime, magic sand, and much more. It’s a week filled with science and fun. Y Whiz Kids 5-12 yrs. ($166/week) Science, sports and outdoor fun are the key elements of Y Whiz Kids! Come try your hand at cool STEM activities. You will also enjoy many trail games for wild wilderness fun.

Healthy Kids Day 2020
Join us for a FREE day of family activities at the Irving Oil Field House
to celebrate YMCA Healthy Kids Day 2020. Stay tuned for more details.Glenn Carpenter Centre
The Glenn Carpenter Centre is the perfect outdoor oasis in the middle of
the city. Campers will enjoy hiking and biking as well as water activities,
such as swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and water
trampoline on the beautiful Ashburn Lake.

Transportation will be provided every day from the Saint John Regional Y to the
Glenn Carpenter Centre for an additional $10 per week. Departure from the Saint
John Regional Y: 8:15 am. Arrival at the Saint John Regional Y at 5:30 pm.
*Parents are responsible for children before and after bus runs.Glenn Carpenter Program Directory Babysitting 11-13 yrs. ($166/week) This is a week-long camp that will teach safety, child care, games and basic emergency first aid skills. Participants who successfully complete this camp will receive a certificate of completion from the Red Cross. Climbing Jr: 7-9 yrs. | Sr: 10-12 yrs. ($166/week) Want to monkey around? You will reach new heights and develop skills on slack lines, rock faces and rope courses at climbing camp. Fishing Jr: 7-9 yrs. | Sr: 10-12 yrs. ($166/week) You will get hands-on experience hanging out in the stream and then take your skills to the lake for some catch and release fishing, in partnership with the pros from ACAP Saint John. Equipment is included! Learn to be a Carpenter 10-13 yrs. ($166/week) Do you enjoy building stuff and learning how to make cool wood projects? In this camp, you will build a cool project that you will bring home at the end of the week. NEW! Mother Nature Jr: 7-9 | Sr: 10-12 ($166/week) Have you ever wondered what lives in the lake or how trees grow? In this fun camp, you will learn tons about our natural environment, how to protect it and how to respect it.
Under the Stars 7-12 yrs. ($20 additional fee. Separate registration is required.) Have you ever dreamed of waking up and already being at camp? Set up your tent, build a fire, cook outdoors and roast marshmallows with your friends! Maybe even go for a sunset paddle? The options are limitless! Under the Stars will be on the Thursday night of weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8 for those attending any camp at the Glenn Carpenter Centre. Wilderness Adventure Camp Jr: 7-9 yrs. Sr: 10-12 yrs. ($166/week) Do you love to learn new skills? In this camp, you will get to swim and paddle twice daily, experience structured camp wide programs and pick any of the following interest groups: archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, earth education, gardening, gaga ball, kayaking, outdoor living skills, swimming and more. Our qualified staff will be sure to keep you engaged through skill development all summer long. Be careful, there’s so much to do you might run out of time! XC Bike 10-12 yrs. ($166/week) Come experience the thrilling world of cross country biking. On top of biking the trails at the Glenn Carpenter Centre, you will also ride the best of Rockwood Park and learn general bike maintenance. *Participants must bring their own bike and helmet. Youth Leadership 12-15 yrs. ($166/week) Specifically tailored to 13-to-15-year-olds, this program provides you with the opportunity to develop your leadership skills through structured workshops, mentorship, volunteerism and hands-on experience. Every week, there will be a different field trip or a special guest.

Located on the Kingston Peninsula, Camp Glenburn offers
30 pristine wooded acres, a sandy beach and plenty of
opportunities for outdoor exploration!

Glenburn? Come play on our rock wall, high ropes, canoes, kayaks and beach. Enjoy

TRANSPORTATION is available from the Saint John Regional Y and the qplex in
Quispamsis. There is an additional $25 fee for transportation. Pick-up and drop-off
will take place at the Saint John Regional Y and the qplex. The bus will leave the
Saint John Regional Y at 7:30 am and the qplex at 8:00 am. It will return to the
qplex at 5:00 pm and the Saint John Regional Y at 5:30 pm.

The Discoverer program is a fantastic
way to engage with the best that
Glenburn has to offer. Discoverer
campers participate in a variety of
activities that are fun, engaging and
instructive. Campers can choose from
any of the age appropriate Interest Groups and also participate in Theme
Days, Cabin Activities and friendly camp-wide games. Campers also get a
chance to challenge themselves on a one-night trip tailored to their level of
experience and interest.

Value Bead Program
Our values help us distinguish right from wrong and provide a foundation for
sound judgement and decision-making. Values are the basis of who we are,
how we live and how we treat others. Throughout the week, beads are awarded
to individuals for demonstrating YMCA core values and success in specific
areas. The values we instill are Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Honesty and
Inclusiveness. At YMCA Day Camps, value beads play an important role as a
form of recognition.

We will have fun in all kinds of weather so please dress appropriately, rain or
shine. To make sure you are ready for any adventure, be sure to bring these items
everyday:
• Hat and sunscreen
• Swimsuit, towel and bag for wet items
• Refillable water bottle
• Running shoes
• Lunch, drinks and two snacks. Please no peanut products.
(microwaves are not available)
Outdoor activities may vary if weather is not appropriate. Please label all clothing
and belongings. Lost and found items will be kept for one week after the end of
each camp session.
NOTE: A hot lunch program will be available at the qplex and Millidgeville
Community Centre. Information, prices and sign up are available online.
Medical Information
Health and safety are our top priorities. All medication must be provided in its original
container with the required dosage on the container. Please provide instructions for
administering medications. All medications must be given directly to a counsellor
upon arrival and a medical form must be completed by a guardian.YMCA Strong Communities Fund
No one should miss out on a YMCA camping experience. That’s why the YMCA
offers financial assistance to help those whose circumstances would otherwise
prevent them from enjoying summer camp. Please contact us for more information.

All YMCA Camp staff are required to
complete the following:

Camp Hours
All Y Day Camp programs run Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Children
should be at camp no later than 9:00 am as some programming takes place off-site. All
children will return to their centre no later than 4:00 pm. All camps will be closed on
both July 1 and August 3 holidays. Please note that prices for holiday weeks have
been adjusted online.
A late fee of $20 for any period within the first 15 minutes of late pick up and an extra
$5 for each additional 5 minutes will be charged to parents. Payment is due at time
of pick-up. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. If other
arrangements are being made for pick-up, the child’s counsellor must be informed in
advance.
