Seven Steps to Enroll at ACC Complete residency and apply for admission. STEP 1 Before applying to ACC, obtain your N.C. residency determination at www.ncresidency.org. Once you have chosen your program, complete the admission application at www.alamancecc.edu or by visiting the Admissions Office. Complete the financial aid application (FAFSA) if you are applying for STEP 2 financial assistance. Apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Contact the ACC Financial Aid office at 336-506-4340 with any questions. Submit official high school transcript (or high school equivalency) to STEP 3 the Admissions Office. Official college transcripts are required if transfer credit/prerequisite verification is sought, or if you are using Veteran benefits. Determine if placement testing is needed. STEP 4 Contact the Admissions Office at 336-506-4270 to determine if placement testing is needed.* Sign up for a placement testing appointment and review study materials at www.alamancecc.edu/admissions-site/placement-testing. *Placement testing is NOT needed for students who’ve graduated from high school within the last 10 years. The University Transfer curriculum prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university. Students can complete most of the general education courses required of all freshmen and sophomores at four-year institutions through the University Transfer Program. Under agreements between the University of North Carolina System and the N.C. Co-admission agreements allow students to be admitted to a university while they complete an associate degree.
