SAFE STUDYING WITH THESE RULES Distance: If possible, always keep the minimum distance of 1.5 meters. Hygiene: Use the washing and disinfection facilities in the buildings. Everyday masks: Wear a mouth-nose protection wherever you go in buildings as well as in case of non-compliance with the minimum distance. Plus: In lecture halls and seminar rooms, use the marked places. Do not attend the events if you have signs of illness. Waving instead of shaking hands!
4 Dear students, You can now proudly consider yourself a student of Technische Universität Ilmenau. You are now studying at a university that is both modern and at the same time rich in tradition. Modern, because the TU Ilmenau does everything it can to offer its students, that means you, future-oriented research and teaching. Rich in tradition, because it represents over 125 years of engineering education. Personally, I would like to promise you that we will do all we can to ensure that you will achieve an outstanding university degree. You should feel comfortable so that you can be successful in your studies. I know that the first period at the university is not easy. As a mem- ber of the TU Ilmenau, you are now part of the university communi- ty. Everyone who has things to do on the university campus - staff, teachers and students - should support each other in order to enjoy working and living together here.
