Streaming is based on MERIT! Your overall results matters! Overall Mark = WA1 (15%) + WA2 (15%) + WA3 (15%) + SA2 (55%)
Streaming Exercise • Streaming Exercise will be conducted on- line in Term 4. • Subject talks will be conducted in Term 4. • Choose carefully and make use of all your options. • Results of Streaming will be released in early November (during school holidays)
Points to Note • There is no best combination for all students. • When choosing the options, do consider the following factors: - Career Aspirations - Interest - Aptitude - Ability
FAQ • What is the main criterion for streaming? Streaming is based on merit. The main criterion for streaming is the overall results of the pupil.
FAQ • If I am unsuccessful in first choice subject combination, how does it affect my chances of getting the second choice? It does NOT affect your chances of getting into your second choice. Streaming is based on merit – the best students get streamed into their choice of subject combination first.

ITE Early Admissions Exercise (ITE EAE)
Key Changes & Features Post-Sec Pathways for N(T)-Level Students ITE Nitec courses ITE EAE Joint Intake Exercise Conducted before N(T)-Level Conducted after N(T)-Level examinations, students submit up results are released, students to 3 course choices submit up to 12 course choices N(T)-Level 32
Overview of ITE EAE It’s for those who have aptitudes and interests 1 in specific fields of study • Focus on course-specific aptitudes and interests • But, non-course-specific achievements, e.g. sports, leadership, also considered Applicants be assessed through different 2 modes • E.g. interviews, aptitude tests, showcasing your portfolio, depending on the course they apply for 3 All this will take place before N Level exams (June – Aug) • If application is successful, the ITE will give applicant a conditional offer before the N-Level exams 33
For example, if a student applies for Business Services at College Central… If student has been selected, his place will be confirmed when his N level results meet the Minimum Entry Requirements. He need not score an aggregate point of ‘8’.
Remind Your Child Not to choose a subject combination because • it sounds prestigious – What’s the good of doing a subject which your child dreads it daily? • many perceive it will lead to good pay – What might pay well today might not when you graduate in the future. – Money is not everything; satisfaction comes from purpose and passion. • of a friend/teacher/parent/guardian – Unless your child enjoys the subject too! 35
