LIBRARY PROGRAMMING for all ages continued, migrating from in-person events to
virtual programs in late March 2020 due to the pandemic. The Library maintained
a busy schedule of book discussions, workshops and classes, story-times, instruction,

and we saw an increase
in Ridgefield Library
cardholders.
In 2019-2020, there were more than 35,000 downloads
of eBooks, audiobooks, digital magazines, streaming
music and movies, representing a 19% increase in total
digital checkouts over the previous year. This includes
a 34% increase in eBook checkouts and 32% more
streaming movies.
