The Foundation is independent of the College and is the main contributor to the scholarship program.
2 For Residents entering First Year of University Reynolds Scholarship Criteria Commencing undergraduate studies at UWA This scholarship perpetuates the memory of High academic achievement judged by ATAR Dr JH Reynolds, a much-loved former result or equivalent Warden of St George's College. Demonstrates good character, leadership qualities and social achievement Value Up to 1/3 of College fees for one year St George’s High Criteria Achievers’ Scholarship Regional student studying at UWA Fogarty Scholarship recipient This scholarship is offered through UWA in conjunction with the award of a Fogarty Value Scholarship. It supports a regional Fogarty $10,000 for three years - subject to ongoing recipient to reside at the College for three academic achievement (maintaining a WAM of 80+) years.

College Postgraduate Criteria Awards* Australian or international postgraduate student These awards are offered to support the Demonstrates academic merit via previous residence of exceptional Postgraduate university results students who are undertaking research Demonstrates interest in cultural/community/sporting activities towards their Postgraduate studies in the following areas: Value • Design and Architecture Up to $3,000 for one calendar year OR up to $1,500 • Arts and Languages for Semester 2 only • Legal Studies • Commerce and Economics • Engineering Sciences *Applicable for Single Rooms only
12 Academic Performance Awards Awarded automatically by the College to eligible residents, these awards were initiated in 2013 in recognition of Georgian and former Board Chairman Rory Argyle, a constant contributor to the College who has dedicated many years of his life striving for its improvement and success. Argyle Scholars These are awarded to : Value Incoming residents who achieve an ATAR over 98.5 $500 Returning residents who achieve a WAM over 85 in the preceding academic year+ Argyle Exhibitions These are awarded to : Value Incoming residents who achieve an ATAR between $250 97 and 98.5 Returning residents with a Weighted Average Mark between 80 and over 85 in the preceding academic year+ + Please note: For a returning resident to be eligible for an Argyle Award they must be returning for a full academic year and have completed at least seven units during the preceding academic year WAM is calculated ONLY from those units completed in the immediately preceding academic year (units from previous years are excluded from WAM calculations)
13 Travel Awards for ALL Current Residents Applications for the following scholarships and bursaries open at various times throughout the year. Gascoine Memorial Bursary This bursary was established in memory of the late Lewis Rose Gascoine, who believed that travel was an integral part of the improvement of education. Maxwell Newton Scholarship This scholarship was established in memory of Georgian Maxwell Newton (1947), the founding editor of The Australian newspaper. It is designed to assist students to broaden their thinking through travel. Victorian Georgian Travel Prize This travel bursary was established by the Victorian-based Georgians. It is designed to assist a College resident to expand their horizons by visiting Melbourne to experience its cultural, sporting and other special interest attractions. It also aims to expand the links between current residents and Georgians living in Melbourne. Application & Criteria Residents will be advised of award criteria and the application process via email during the semester.
