Summer Food Program 2022 The Beaver County YMCA partners with multiple locations during the summer months to sponsor a meal program for Beaver County youth ages 18 and under. YOUTH CHILD WATCH Parents and guardians can utilize the Child Watch service for up to two hours while working out or participating in a Y class or activity. Staff provides loving care for your little ones giving you peace of mind and giving children a safe, fun place to play. Child Watch is a dedicated area for children to be enriched with age-appropriate activities and is a FREE service for all members. We have partnered with BVP Board Shop to bring the community both recreational sports in one fun event. This is a family friendly event and will NOT be timed. Children must be 12 years old and be accompanied by a parent during the entire event. We have two different options for you to choose from. • Long Course – paddle 1 mile up the Beaver River, run 1 mile then paddle back down the Beaver River • Short Course – paddle ½ mile up the Beaver River and ½ mile back to starting point. SCHOOL AGE CARE Before and After School Programs During the school year, we provide before and after school care for students in Kindergarten through age 12. We are offering care for children who attend school at New Brighton, Rochester, Hopewell, and Baden Academy. The children are provided with a FREE after-school meal and an opportunity to complete their homework. They also enjoy gross motor, outdoor time, games and fun activities, and much more. It will run daily at the Beaver County YMCA from 7am-6pm Summer Camp at the Y is the best place to meet new friends & build relationships with old friends from all across Beaver County. Your child will have the opportunity to learn tons of new skills like problem solving, positive decision making, community engagement, and STEAM in a safe environment following all CDC recommendations. SCHOOL AGE CARE KINDER CAMP We are so excited to introduce a new summer program for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2022. This year, we are offering Kinder Camp, which will give our new Kindergarteners a chance to meet older friends and participate in select Summer Camp activities, all while remaining in a familiar environment. Our themed weeks provide students with the opportunity to explore topics through arts & crafts, STEAM, organized games, social emotional learning, and team building activities. We are happy to continue serving the families in our community, and we look forward to seeing you all this summer! CAMP RISE Camp Rise offers six (6) weeks of summer day camp which will be full of fun, exciting and challenging activities designed for school- aged children with intellectual disabilities (ID). Our goal is to model and expect appropriate socialization within the community and to help every individual to be more independent. Drop off and pick up will be at St. John the Baptist Church, 1501 Virginia Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061. Camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm Campers can choose to participate on individual days or can register for a complete week(s). Camp Rise focuses on socialization and independence.
