MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME 30 MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME Our mentorship programme grew out the feedback received from our graduates who wanted guidance as they grow in their chosen discipline. Our innovative mentorship programme allows mentees to determine the flow and shape of their individual programme needs or want. For photography, the mentorship can take the form of portfolio development aimed at a specific genre or niche. Proposals can also include working towards a hosted exhibition at Orms CTSP. A student enrolled in the cinematography department may want, for example, to further their Vfx skillset and portfolio to secure more advanced freelance work. This high customization makes precise scheduling difficult, yet the below is a guideline of what to expect. At the core is the weekly meeting between mentor and mentee, where they discuss the progress of the work and identify areas of growth. There are also six group crit sessions scheduled throughout the programme where the mentee will have valuable input from your fellow students. Four full-day practical workshops are arranged around the groups need and interest. For example, it could be an advanced studio workshop or a specific printing technique explored for the photographers or a Fusion session with a VFX artist. Orms CTSP supports the student with access to school facilities and staff other than the mentor. The mentorship programme allows for space and time to advance work for both professional and personal development. Application Process: The programme is open to the public, but the application requires that a portfolio is submitted. The portfolio differs depending on the steam as follows: For photography, this would be a selection of ten images that demonstrates your aesthetics and technical skills. For video and cinematography mentees, it is also a selection of your body of work in the form of content developed or videos shot. Lastly, both the photography and cinematography applications require a one-page proposal of what you intend to achieve during your mentorship. 021 465 2152 | INFO@ORMSCTSP.CO.ZA | WWW.CTSP.CO.ZA /ORMSCTSP
