This issue is filled with special activities for Spring Break, including the return of the Kids Café free meals program. It’s also a great opportunity to commemorate Older Americans Month in May. We encourage and invite you to help us celebrate the countless contributions that older adults make to our community. Washoe County Library System is proud to offer a wide variety of innovative programs and services for patrons of all ages. We’ll be hosting the Family Estate Planning Workshop Series starting in March, and the Food for Fines program throughout the month of April. National Library Week is happening April 19-25, and you can take part in the annual week-long celebration by visiting your public, school, or academic library. Stop in and see what’s new! Did you know that 2020 is a census year? It’s also the first year the census will be conducted primarily online. An accurate census count of all Nevada residents will help influence policy-making, funding, and planning for the next decade. We proudly offer free access to computers, and I encourage everyone to come into the library and be counted during the 2020 census. It’s also an election year! We’ll be offering early voting at many of our library branch locations from May 23-June 5. There is so much happening this Spring! Check out the brochure and find out about everything we have to offer. Thank you for being a library patron! 4
