Steel Beam Theater: Nestled in the heart of downtown St. Charles, Steel Beam Theater is an award winning theater dedicated to fostering the arts in the Fox Valley area and supporting talent of all ages. Penrose Brewery and Taproom: A local favorite and worth a trip. Stop by the taproom, sample the rotating selection of beers, and tour the brewery. The River Trail: Before or after your run, explore over 38 miles of trail along the scenic Fox River. Walk, run, or bike for a fun filled day outdoors. Bikes are available to rent through Mill Race Cyclery. City of Chicago: You’re only a 45 minute drive, or a short train ride from Geneva’s Metra Station to one of the largest and most vibrant cities in the United States! While you’re here, consider taking some time to see Chicago and some of its best known attractions. You can search the full Metra Rail schedule here. We recommend the 10:37 AM, 12:37 PM, or 2:37 PM trains, departing from the Geneva Station. Round trip fare is $16.50 or $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Soldier Field and The Chicago Bears: Even when The Chicago Bears are not in season, Soldier Field hosts major concerts, cultural events, art exhibits, and more. The Lakefront Trail: Feel the need to stretch your legs and get a little fresh air? Chicago’s Lakefront Trail is 18 miles of scenic, paved pathways for walkers, runners, bikers, you name it.
