Nothing remains the way it seems, as it does not matter what we see but how we see it.The cast consists of the most intricate marionettes and rod puppets carved of wood, as well as unforgettable characters created simply with silk scarves and the hands and feet of the puppeteer. • MONSTER THEATRE, WE NOW KNOW: THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF SCIENCE shows that the greatest lesson from the History of Science is that the Future is more wonderful than we can possibly imagine, and serves to remind young audiences that the discoveries of tomorrow rest in their hands. GALLERY & VISUAL ARTS Serving the Tri-Cities for 22 years, the Art Gallery at Evergreen engages visitors through curated exhibitions, activated by public programs and our dynamic school workshops. The Gallery focuses on contemporary art and ideas explored by professional artists working in all media. We believe that art is integral to the fabric of daily life and seek opportunities to connect people with artists and the creative process. Greater Vancouver teacher’s have made us a choice destination for their students to see art produced by professional artists and to participate in truly distinctive hands-on learning activities. Over the past three years participation in our education programs has increased again and again with last year being the highest number of registrations we have had since the Evergreen opened its doors in 1996. Our educational program has been developed by qualified educators, artists and arts instructors to enrich the Prescribed Learning Outcomes of the BC Ministry of Education’s Integrated Resource Package for Visual Arts, Drama, Language Arts, Social Studies and more. Our dynamic workshops and creative labs offer positive and thought-provoking experiences for students to explore, learn and grow.
