Dear Friends, We are so thankful to have you back for Setonsation after a long two years. The Seton Spirit is amazing and we are so grateful to each of you! This evening would not be possible without the support of the Sisters of Charity and the Board of Directors. Thank you for your prayers, leadership and dedication to our mission. We are also appreciative to all of the sponsors of Setonsation and the donors who generously support this evening. If the last two years have taught us nothing else, it is the gratitude of the people in our life and the time spent with them. We are so grateful you have chosen to be here in celebration of the success of Seton High School and in support of our wonderful students. It is finally time to give away a brand new Honda Pilot Touring! This beautiful car is valued at $48,000 and was generously donated by an amazing Seton supporter. Our incredible students showed remarkable school spirit selling their chances! You have until 9:45 p.m. to purchase chances. Good luck and thank you! Take a chance! We have so many raffles, auction items and opportunities to win! Thank you to Noelle VonderBrink Schwartz ’91, the Advancement Department and all the volunteers for your work on Setonsation! As enrollment continues to rise, it is imperative we provide financial assistance to help students attend Seton. On behalf of the students and staff at Seton, thank you for being here and for your generosity as we work to provide an exceptional Catholic education to young women. Thank you!! Silent Auction Rules 1. Each item in the silent auction has a bid sheet attached to a table nearby. Persons desiring to bid may do so by writing their name, paddle number and the amount bid on the bid sheet. 2. Each new bid must be written on the next blank line available on the bid sheet. SILENT AUCTION BIDS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF MINIMUM RAISE IS NOT SUFFICIENT. 3. An authorized person may disqualify your bid if you are blocking the bidder’s table prior to the closing of a booth. 4. The Silent Auction booths will be open for bidding at 5:30 p.m. and will have staggered closings until approximately 10:00 p.m. Closing times for each booth are listed in the catalogue and will be announced during the evening. Only an authorized official may nullify a bid and the closing bid circled by the official constitutes the winning bid. 5. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY AN AUCTION CARD OR BIDDING SHEET BE REMOVED FROM THE BIDDING TABLE. 6. In the event of a dispute, the auction official shall determine the winning bidder. In the event the two bidders are in the process of bidding on the same item when the official attempts to circle the winning bid, the official may conduct a mini live auction between those two bidders. The official shall determine the winning bidder, and his/her decision shall be final. 7. Bidders can determine if they had winning bids by checking the bid cards 15 minutes after the booth closes. Gift items can be picked up at the booth by presenting paid receipts. 8. Any bidder not making arrangements for payment in full on the night of the auction may forfeit his/her right to purchase item(s). Items received by Express Checkout guests will be charged to their Visa or MasterCard. 9. Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year from the date of the auction. 10. Values set forth opposite some items are estimates only and are warranted for tax purposes or for general value. All sales are final and no exchange or refund will be honored unless specifically indicated. 11. By his/her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability against either Seton High School or the donor of the property or services and neither Seton High School nor the donors are responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the utilization of property or services sold. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires that we inform Setonsation attendees of the following: only that amount in excess of fair market value for a gift item purchased at the auction is tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes.
