SOLWORLD 2019 DAY 2 Friday, 24 May, 10.15 - 11.15 am PETER SZABÓ Utilizing past signs of progress, in high detail and slow motion Clients are inherently capable to re-tune themselves whenever life derails from plan. In the workshop you will explore details of this capability in yourself and others. The more you slow things down and magnify details up in past change-processes the more you discover about possible future signs of progress to look for. JESPER H CHRISTIANSEN Make money, have fun, change the world ReTHINKing a small business The owner of a small private business wanted to develop the workplace making it more efficient and also creating a better work environment. In the process of clarifying the task the headline: "higher flow of energy" came up defined as: 1. Prosperity – higher turnover 2. Better work environment – better corporation between employees Together with a colleague I designed and facilitated one day + half a day follow-up using some of the 'Powered by EDGEWARE' tools and added on a complete solution focused approach. I will present the process and what happened. Some of what happened was entirely unexpected.
SOLWORLD 2019 DAY 2 Friday, 24 May, 10.15 - 11.15 am TALK: JENNY CLARKE Being Assertive While we may be "not-knowing" about our clients' lives, we could be more assertive about what we do know: how to have useful conversations. TALK: ELFIE CZERNY & DOMINIK GODAT Into the essence of SF - Learnings from 2 years on the road with our SF motorhome What is the essence of SF? Explore this question together with us. We share our insights and learnings from two years on the road traveling in our Solution Focused painted motorhome to the origins and developments of SF and finding our answers to this question, that led us on the road. TALK: ROY MARRIOTT (SHAKYA KUMARA) Solutions Focus Doesn't Mean Focusing on Solutions! One might imagine that in "Solutions Focused" practice we would focus on Solutions! But the word "Solution" is at best confusing here, and often downright misleading. So what DO we focus on as Solutions Focused practitioners? In this SOL talk I'll explore: * difficulties with the word "Solution" (especially in the world of software) * historical origins of "Solutions Focus" - where the word came from and why it made sense then * what we DO focus on when practising Solutions Focus * the ORA model for guiding attention in SF practice (based on Jackson & McKergow's Albert model) * ORA illustrated with a well-known case: how Niklas resolved a 2 year deadlock in 5 minutes * how you can use ORA in conversations ranging from informal conversations in the corridor, to meetings, to formal 60 minute coaching sessions
SOLWORLD 2019 DAY 2 Friday, 24 May, 11.40 - 1.00 pm DR PETER RÖHRIG & DR MARK MCKERGOW How can I use the “User’s guide to the future” as a coaching tool? The “User`s guide to the future” is a powerful model developed by Mark McKergow for sf working with the future. In our session we will explain the model and demonstrate in a live coaching how clients find signs of progress facing challenging and complex projects. SIMONE GAIO & FABIENNE STALDER Visible signs of progress - tiny things to cheer up your sf work We love to enrich our work with tiny little things with the purpose to add value to the spoken word. In our best hopes, by using such little tools we encrease the impact of our interventions and help our clients to move on with more ease and joy. We would like to share with you our ideas, tools, gadgets...in our workshop we invite you to experience with some of them. In this inspiring environment we look forward to develop new tools together. And the coolest thing is: rigtht after the workshop we have a lot of opportunities to experiment: all the other conference participants will be pleased, when we help them to make visible their own signs of progress during the conference! PETRA MULLER-DEMARY & ROXANA MILAS Coaching and Technology The digital revolution leads to a massive transition process in organizations. The world as we know it is changing. SOLWORLD 2019 DAY 2 Friday, 24 May, 11.40 - 1.00 pm RALPH MIARKA & VERONIKA KOTRBA What is and what isn't "Agile Coaching" We noted that the term "Agile Coaching" leads to some confusion within some parts of the coaching community. Is this a new kind of coaching? What kind of coaching is this? What evidence do we have of Agile Coaching? Is there a recorded session of Agile Coaching that I could watch to observe Agile Coaching in action? Why do I see "agile coaching" and "Agile Coaching" - is this the same? In our session, we want to clarify the term "Agile Coaching" and connect it with the solution-focused approach in coaching. We hope to support both Agile Coaches and solution-focused coaches and to contribute to the discussion. Friday, 24 May, 2.15 pm - 4 pm OPEN SPACE

SOLWORLD 2019 DAY 3 Saturday, 25 May, 9.15 - 10.00 am MARCO MATERA Sf Chart – a simple SF tool to achive goals n this workshop it will be possible to experience a simple schema to achive goal. SF Chart are two different canvas schema, a personal chart and a team chart, developed as sf tools in business context. It will be very practical workshop useful for personal issue or team consulting. Designed for coach, trainers, consultant and therapist. ANTON STELLAMANS Mimesis and SF. A philosophical exploration of the thinking behind For a good understanding of SF, it is helpful to grasp its philosophical underpinnings. SF fits in a long tradition of anti- essentialist thought, an underground tradition that surfaced and gathered momentum in the second half of the 20th century. In this workshop you will learn how the Greek concept of Mimesis (imitation, representation, ...) will prove to be a useful gateway not only towards a better understanding of SF but also towards an enriched practice of SF. ISTVÁN CZOMBOS Tree-ory of change, let's draw impacts The symbol of a tree can visualise all the levels of the intervention logic. Make all the potentially affected persons involved by drawing together the part of the tree in which they are interested. When you connected all the dots, praise the flowers and fruits of the tree, while saying thank to every bits and pieces of the root, and the trunk. In other words, lets have a talk about how to set goals, co- define intervention logic, employ everyone as change agent without using any of those expressions.
SOLWORLD 2019 DAY 3 Saturday, 25 May, 10.30- 12.00 am DR MARK MCKERGOW SF 2.0: The next generation of SF work? In this workshop Mark will be describing SFBT 2.0 and presenting the key differences (and similarities) with previous practice. As usual with SF, you’ll probably find you are doing some of it already! And there may well be some interesting twists and innovations to consider too. This promises to be an important session for everyone interested in extending and renewing their SF skills... DR MARCO RONZANI Progress gossip - co-creating signs of progress in teams When a team wants to explore and strengthen their world of the solution let them do a gossip about signs of progress they have observed. In this workshop you experience the power of gossiping about signs of progress in a group. We learn to work with an easy to learn set of useful questions in a flow of SF conversations. JASENKA GOJŠIĆ & KLAUS SCHENCK Where SF meets FACILITATION We invite participants to share and explore their facilitation practices, the choices and adjustments the make applying different approaches and methods, SF and otherwise. Many diverse approaches are present in personal, team and organizational development field, possibly serving the same values and follow similar principles. What is the greatest common denominator among different approaches used by workshop participants? How can SF and others modes of facilitation mutally enhance each other? We will engage all participant in World Café-like conversations (aka “SF-Espresso”), which will, hopefully, support emergence of some better understanding what is really important for us, as SF practitioners, when we choose our own, authentic approaches to our client needs.
