As a client and area focused agent of development, one of our key strengths is supporting the identification of needs across all sectors of communities, and facilitating the development of appropriate responses by communities so that they can achieve sustainable economic and community development. Communities express the same desire for increased services and employment opportunities within their local areas, and in many instances, solutions grounded in social innovation principles have provided the answers to specific needs and gaps in services and in the economic, social and environmental infrastructure in local communities and sectors. This Forum is aimed at potential social entrepreneurs, those working with social enterprises, community activists, local development and public bodies, as well as active established social enterprises that see the opportunity for networking and learning through examples at both local and national level.
