I’M CATHOLIC—NOW WHAT? Whether you became catholic 50 days ago or 50 years ago, you may be asking yourself, “Now what?”. We are so happy and proud of all our friends and family who convert to Catholicism, and we want to support them with our prayer and example. Let’s also support them with our experience. Starting on June 6, we will be hosting an online gathering of minds and hearts who long to share their faith. All converts to Catholicism are welcome to join us via phone call or through the Zoom app at 1:30p.m. We will meet on the first Sunday of the month for discussion on faith, family, and the pursuit of holiness. Call: +1 646 876 9923 Zoom ID: 890 9144 5027 PENTECOST CANDLES Bishop Boyea has given each parish in the Diocese of Lansing a blessed candle for each family to light. These lights are for each family to remember, mourn, and see the light of hope for the future. It has been a difficult year for us all—loss of plans, vacations, seeing family, jobs, and even loss of life. You may come and pick up your family’s candle at the church. Please take it home and decorate it with your family. You can paint it, put your family member’s names on it, anything you’d like to make it your own. Then we will have a remembrance service, where you can bring it back, light it for your family, and we can share together a night of mourning, remembrance, and hope. SEEKERS—RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Thank you to all who helped make the May Crowning Mass so beautiful: Cael Cech who did our welcome, Everett Teem who did the first reading so well live here in the church, Jordan Bailey who read all the way from Kansas, Madelyn & Alex Zmiejko, Avery Hubbs, Maddy Henman & James Zmiejko, Lily & Karina Potochney, Jaycee Bailey (also all the way from KS), Summer Barnett & Shiloh Perez (all the way from the Philippines) who prayed our general petitions. Special thanks to our first communicant Thomas Janetsky and his whole family, Bill, Erin, Elizabeth, Charles and Matthew Janetsky for crowning our Blessed Mother in the church this year. Having the Zagata's and Minders give out rosaries and Joan Calrk, assisted by Lynn Anthony and Abbey Pinder giving out ice cream after Mass. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL One thing to look forward to as we head into summer is Holy Redeemer's Vacation Bible School, which will be in person, yet safe, 9am-noon everyday from Monday, June 28 to Friday, July 2nd. Be on the lookout for more info when we open registration in May. If you are looking for more summer faith fun for your kids. St. Roberts in Flushing will also be having VBS on June 21-25.
