Jain Shala – Offsite class at Bedok Reservoir (19th August 2018) An exciting off-site class was organised at Bedok Reservoir Park, and there was a good turnout of 38 SJS children & teachers attending this class. The excitement could be seen on the children faces, since it was a new location with the beautiful reservoir as a backdrop. The windy weather added to the joy as well. The class commenced with meditation and light jogging, followed by explanation regarding Anger Management and the importance of controlling “negative thoughts”. There were also quizzes & games and sumptuous idly, chutney & cupcakes for all the children. It was, indeed, a Sunday morning well-spent, with positive take-aways by the children. Blood Donation – Interfaith Blood Donation Event (26th August 2018) SJRS was proud to collaborate with IRCC and Geylang Serai CC to organize a blood donation drive on 26th August at Masjid Khalid (Joo Chiat Road). It was really encouraging to see our members coming forward and donating blood.
